It's on its way to me now, though I'm having second thoughts about that guy...

Honestly, the warm colored blushes have a nifty look with GFI when it's blotted. For some weird reason, when blotted or after long enough time just wearing it, GFI's blue tone just up and disappears on my red lips and becomes more of a purple/mauve or greyish red-toned lilac. At this point, the coral cheeks are really a nice match.

Another related tidbit - my MUA had me try lychee loving l/g over GFI, which created a really bizarre coral/purple two-tone effect. I could see some people loving that look, though I tend to prefer my gloss to be very similar to my lipstick if I'm going to wear both together.

Didn't pick up the pink lippies - I'm pretty much all light pinked out atm.

This is what I got:
MSF: SR, Petticoat, By Candlelight
MB: Hang Loose, Band of Roses (probably will break and get New Vibe too, because it's like a new, improved Bi-Tone, which I love)
LS: Jazzed, Call My Bluff (gorgeous!), GFI
C/G: Chillin', You've Got It
MET: Soften the Mood

Yeah, $$$ bling bling. I seriously want another couple of the eyeshadows - they look way better on the eyes than swatched on a hand. If I had to narrow it down, probably Love To Love and In the Groove.

Really? Do they put them on display, for sale, a week before? There's a pro store not too far from my work, but there are like 4-5 more convenient locations for me, so I've actually never been to the pro store.

Ya, I was denied last weekend when I wanted to b2m for a dazzleglass at the Yorkdale f/s store.

I'll try it this weekend and report back if you haven't picked it up by then! It didn't look too frosty though when I swatched it.

I'm wondering why it says "09" on it anyway. Shouldnt it be "0" and not "9"? I dont know maybe it cant be the case but it was just a thought. I just can't see them making such a limited amount on something one MSF that someone in marketing has to know is highly sought after and making a lot of something that isnt.

I was thinking the exact same thing, but hasn't it been a while since the last time is was available?

As far as I know, all of them do. But do know for a fact that the Queen st store does most of the time.

Did you B2M any depots by any chance? I heard the new rules don't allow depots. I've never had a problem at any of the downtown locations, but after this, who knows. (although I was refused Lazy Day at the EC store. the girl at the Bay let me do it, but she said she wasn't supposed to. A girl there also sold me ML the day before it was put out

that's the one I was talking about. Good to know, thanks. Do you know how strict or lenient they are with B2M's?

I got it! The pink part isn't frosty and while the lavender part is frosty city, it's not glittery and it's very easy to control using less of it if you want. Don't worry about the over 35 skin, the pink part makes it very manageable - it's sort of custom frost level blush.

MAC yorkdale has been really strict with depots for a long time now. I haven't b2m'd for a while with depots, but up until earlier this year, most Bay counters took them (I usually go to fairview, yorkdale and hillcrest). The Queen st store was awesome when i went with about 30 depotted containers, but that was forever ago. I would call them and ask, no harm in doing that.

I generally stick 2-3 depots with other items and they don't notice!!!

Yes, they would have but I think the point of her buying it was so that someone on this forum, that could not find one at a store/counter near them, would have the opportunity to get one by buying the extra one she purchased, from her. She was trying to be helpful to others on this forum.

Oh I'm glad to hear this! I picked one with a lot less lavender!

Modmom, just ask if you can hand pick one out, most SA's are great about doing that. There's an awesome SA at the Yorkdale bay store, don't know her name, but she's blond and older than the average MAC SA so you'll know her when you see her, and she's super nice and somewhat of an addict herself, so she's very accommodating!

Having said that, my freestanding store was not crazed at all. It had eight SR last night, when I called my MA. When I came in at 1 p.m., they still had half of those (counting the one she set aside for me). But I picked up Marine Life at about the same time on TTB launch day, too. Even though it's a freestanding, I guess no one in North Texas wants to come out to Arlington for their MAC fix!

I ended up buying more than I originally planned (like every time!) -- other than Stereo Rose, I left with In the Groove MES and Calms, Cool & Collected MES. I was so tempted by Togetherness, and I may go back this weekend for it and possibly Love to Love. (Although I don't know that I need another neutral-y one because I already bought In the Groove).

And Petticoat. I own Porcelain Pink, By Candlelight and Stereo Rose. I'm not very impressed with Porcelain Pink tbh, so is Petticoat worth it? I'm NC25 with medium brown hair and very dark brown eyes.

I'm NC25-30, very dark brown hair, and brownish green eyes. I love Petticoat and I think it will look fantastic on you! I actually like Petticoat more than Stereo Rose, I know that sounds a bit crazy since some are crying b/c they missed it.
ssad.gif
, but Petticoat just is more vibrant and just looks better on my skin. BTW- I skipped Porcelain Pink, it looked mehh on me.

Yes, you NEED Petticoat! I am an NC25 blonde haired blue eyed girl and this is my favorite blush EVER. I have gone thru one and have 2 more backups. It is stunning. I am in LOVE. It is perfect.

OK so I tried to work with Jazzed, but it doesn't work on NC50 at all. I tried to use a few lipglasses with it...but it's too light of an opaque color. Looks like I'm rocking Elmer's Glue on my lips.

Going to Jazzed back and get a backup of Call My Bluff (feels great on and looks beautiful) and get another You've Got It (another perfect nude combo for me).

I've been talked into getting Band of Roses so I'm getting that (don't want to regret it). I MAY get Go For It...anybody know if I absolutely need Chillin' to go with it?

Yes, MAC Pro doesn't follow the normal release date. I remember going to the MUFE boutique mid December and decided to stop by Pro store, I got my hands on a collection two weeks early.

My Stereo Rose Story:
after reading so much hype on Stereo Rose, i snuck out of work to my local Macy's in Sherman Oaks (in case any SoCal ladies are looking!). i was so nervous and the MA was just taking inventory on their display of In the Groove. I asked, "did you run out of SR?" and she said they just got it out and she was counting up their stash. of course, i didn't think to ask how many and quickly requested one SR. (that particular MAC counter doesn't seem to be very busy or take much notice of the hype revolving around their LE items i noticed.)

I asked the MA to test it on me and so she gave me a wet wipe to take off what little i had of makeup/MSF. i noticed it was fairly pigmented and shimmery and she said the moisture from the wipe tends to pack on MSF's heavily. i bought it of course and was very good about sticking to that item only.

i was checkin' myself out all day to see if i'd like it
graucho.gif
and was actually somewhat disappointed at first.
shockt.gif
the biggest test will be when i wear it w/ a fresh face and maybe no bronzer as it's very pigmented on it's own.

of what i could tell, it does shimmer in the light (kinda neat but maybe kinda overboard if too much is put on) it is very powdery and soft like By Candlelight which i already have. it also can magnetize large pores but i'm wondering if a good base would help w/ that.

i still think Petticoat beats it out as i like the raspberry tint it has and is not so pigmented. SR tends to be a bit orangey on my skintone..i hope i can fall in love with it but i admit that it was not love at first sight. this will be my last MSF as i already have many good ones like So Ceylon, Petticoat, By Candlelight, and Sunny By Nature in which i adore 'em all!

i'm still shocked to have SR in my hands and it feels like gold considering all the demand for it....wow, i'm blabbering. i'll stop here

have you tried covering your natural lip color with foundation or concealer? I have to do that with lighter lipsticks bc my lips are so pigmented. I'm nw45. My jazzed won't show up til monday. I plan on using cork to line. Hope it works out.

It's a beautiful cool baby pink. When I tried it on my own, my cheeks looked blue!
shockt.gif
Then MA applied more pink side to fix it, and it looked very lovely.
yes.gif
I didn't notice much about the frostiness, but I will use the light hand with the shimmery lilac side. I don't want to look blue again.

YES. YES YES. I'm not exactly your coloring (more a NC20, blue eyes, used-to-be-a-blonde-but-am-now-a-dark-brunette) and Petticoat is my second favorite MSF (behind Blonde

) I have all the ones you mentioned, really don't find that Porcelain Pink does ANYTHING for me... and I love love love Petticoat. GET IT.

I haven't tried that, but I will give it a try before I take it back. I got 29 days to go. Thanks for the tip.
