Bought Soft Ochre yesterday and it's marked as Prolongwear. (I was baffled, I didn't even know there was PLW PP hahahah)I believe those are the only ones left that aren't marketed as prolongwear yet, guessing they have to change the packaging to reflect the name change.
This is an off topic for a moment, but while I was at the Mac counter today, I just noticed that Mac is using a spray instead of the containers of alcohol. Does anyone know what it is and where to find the spray and bottle?
It's just a regular spray bottle and 70% alcohol. Rather than dumping the alcohol every night (as it degrades being exposed to air), this prolongs the potency of the alcohol. No special formula. No special bottle. Just good ol 70% alcohol.Just wanted to chime in: I had actually asked an associate that question and she told me that the FDA didn't think the alcohol was enough to properly clean everything, so Mac now uses that solution. What it is exactly, I have no idea. Thanks Richelle for the info too I was worried for a moment lol
you look incredible! So I actually have pix this time of the fabulous makeup look my MA did for me today:
So just to clarify, that new pink spray bottle that looks like brush cleaner is the same old alcohol? If so ill have to tell that girl to stop guessing answers to my questions lolIt's just a regular spray bottle and 70% alcohol. The pink solution is the same ol brush cleanser, just in a spray bottle, which i find interesting, because they told us to tell customers never to use it in a spray bottle cuz it didnt saturate the brushes enough to properly clean and sanitize the brushes (dumbasses). The clear solution is just alcohol. I was told it's the same 70%. Anything higher evaporates too quickly and doesn't kill the germs. So just to clarify, that new pink spray bottle that looks like brush cleaner is the same old alcohol? This is what we did:
Eyes: Industrial pearlglide as a base all over the lid and under the lower lashes. Soba in the crease, blended in. Beluga, which we are both crazy about, all over the lid and into the crease. A little Deep Cravings in there too - not quite sure, because I was getting super relaxed and was floating off in la la land a bit. S&tO to highlight in the tear ducts and inner lower lash line. a touch of Blitz 'n Glitz f/l in lower waterline and finally, Deliciously Rich f/l applied in the center of the lid for sparkle. 43 lashes to complete it, since I was in a lash mood.
Skin: the new P&P BB cream in medium as a primer all over the face (I've gotten rather tan this summer without trying to) with the new Mineralize foundation around chin and jawline, through center of the face through forehead and nose in NC15, with a darker shade for my eye bags (pretty sure he used more foundation, rather than a concealer, from the texture of my skin). Strobe Cream and a little Lightscapade to highlight the cheeks with Tease Your Tastes for color (loooove that one). No powder to finish to keep a fresh natural look - I've had quite a few MAs do my makeup and he's the #1 best at making the skin look flawless but also like it's totally naked. No Fix+ or anything like that either and it's fine - everything is going strong after 5 hours of hot summer and in a bit I'm going out on the town!
Lips: First applied FtS all over. Then, on top of FtS, used Cork just in the outer corners of the lips with a bit of a blend of Dervish and In Synch to line the cupid's bow and center of the lower lip. Blot then apply more FtS just in the center of the lips for a subtle contoured lip. As you can see, it's almost imperceptible in the photos, although if you look closely in person you can see the contour work. We both lived through the 90's so we know what that thing is all about and are OK with it coming back in, haha.
I love this guy so much - there were all these people just standing around watching him work the magic! He does quite a bit of television work on the side, and rightfully so. Obviously this photo is rather yellowish compared to natural light, but the cheeks in particular are a very accurate color representation, and so are the lips if you look close in the first one. You sort of miss all the fabulous shimmer on the eyes, but just imagine it in your mind! Now it's time for me to get my party clothes on and hit the road!
I was not considering a back up for just a bite but now I am thinking twice. Do I need another one? I haven't received the one I ordered yet. Pretty look Shontay

P It was pink solution and I asked if it was brush cleaner and the MA said she didn't know what it was, but she was spraying a paper towel and then spot cleaning brushes. The pink solution is the same ol brush cleanser, just in a spray bottle, which i find interesting, because they told us to tell customers never to use it in a spray bottle cuz it didnt saturate the brushes enough to properly clean and sanitize the brushes (dumbasses). I've always used the brush cleaner from a spray bottle. The normal bottle spills a lot of the cleaner and with the spray you can always spray more times to get the brush saturated. I've done this for at least 4 years now and my brushes and makeup are completely fine. I do of course deep clean the brushes as well once every 3 weeks. The pink solution is the same ol brush cleanser, just in a spray bottle, which i find interesting, because they told us to tell customers never to use it in a spray bottle cuz it didnt saturate the brushes enough to properly clean and sanitize the brushes (dumbasses).
