Very true! Sometimes I wonder if she's overwhelmed with work. Just by glancing at By Design can tell you it has a totally different finish. I didn't spend much time looking at it in the store. But, in an instant it reminded me more of the Marcel Wanders 2 lipstick called Annelie. It's the pearl in it that kept me away from it. They aren't dupes. Annelie is beige without the peach and has a stronger metallic finish. But, maybe the finish would make a closer comparison. To be fair, she does say it lacks the metallic finish. But, the colors are still off.

Her dupe lists are way off lol. As I said before, she's also got Antiqued listed as a DD dupe... when they're nothing alike!

I just picked up beluga, sex and oyster and eat, love...I was on the fence about deep cravings so I'll wait till my appointment...by that point all you ladies will be finding this thread boring in favour of the next collection, lol... I don't know why they like to make the events sooooo late....grumble

I picked up another Feed The Senses backup this week. I love it! It's a perfect nude for me, and it goes amazing with Oyster Girl lipglass. FTS is my 2nd fav nude after Marquise D. FTS is my cool-toned nude, and Marquise is my warm-toned nude

not too bad of a haul. I think aside from Retro Mattes nothing else strikes my fancy til the Holiday collection rolls out! *goes back to Chanel and Guerlain buying* lol

To bring out the grey blue, wear it in the center of the lid with carbon or print (depending on how intense you want it) on the inner and outer corners. Carry the same placement onto the bottom lashline. Lots of mascara. Lashes even. Smudged black liner. Of you want to bring out the green, wear it on the lid. Saddle in the crease, bottle green in the outter corner and bottom lashline with a bit of S&TO on the inner bottom corner. Black liner, regular or winged.

I have to try soar with FTS. I also tried it with whirl as well.

How'd it look with Whirl? I don't own that pencil but tried it at the counter recently and decided Dervish might appeal more to me.

:wink: you'd think they'd at least know what they themselves were using! Idiots! I'm starting to use it in a spray bottle as well. I just find it hilarious that employees were instructed to tell customers not to use it in a spray bottle, and then a few months later, company-wide, they do that exact thing. MAC is retarded. FTS turned very pink on me!

I wish FtS was a bit more pink on me but some days I just like wearing lipstick without too much pigment... Sort of like I tried to put some effort into my look when I didn't really care but needed a pick me up?

Isn't "Feed the Senses" divine?? I bought it yesterday as I wanted to see it in person and when I got there the MUA said it was sold out but went to the drawers and found 3! If I had known how wonderful it was I would've picked up two or maybe all three!

I did however, grab "Liqueur" which is another hit for me!!!!

Everything you said makes PERFECT sense... BUT the worst thing in the world is trying to track down that BU later AFTER you realize you wished you'd gotten one! THAT simple fact alone often pushes me to the BU. At least that way if I never get around to using it, I can swap the BU or pass it on to someone else. Better to have one to give than need one to receive! LOL
But I DO appreciate the RARE Specktra anti-enable! It's like your rare Unicorn sighting pictures you posted! HeeHee wink
I will hold out for the BD BU for a little while longer.... maybe.

FOTD Details:
I wore DD for the 2nd day in a row today! On the lid, with Texture in the crease and Nylon as my inner corner/tearduct highlight, Orb browbone highlight. WITH my BD (w NYX Mauve lip liner) and my new favorite blush Stylish Me (from Nudes & Metallics) which is SURPRISINGLY STILL AVAILABLE!!!!

I went to the indulge event at my counter on Friday. The girl who did my makeup did an awful job, but I didn't want to be rude. None of the colors she chose looked good on me. The blush was patchy and fallout all over my under eye and made me look super tired. Does anyone else have this problem at the Mac events? Didn't make it home with that mess on.

it happens from time to time...don't be discouraged! is there any chance you can request a particular mua at your counter/store for the next time you have an appointment for your makeup?

Sadly, just because someone works at mac, doesn't mean they can do makeup. Sorry your appointment didn't go so well hopefully your next one turns out much better.
