Those blushes look so cute together! I'm trying to skip this collection, but Pink Cult looks so yummy! I still have till the 8th of april to think about it...or to save money for it

I don't have BB Fog, but I do like Stovepipe Black quite a bit. I find that these ones don't have the staying power of the best eye shadows, but the colour is still a very nice deep charcoal grey with a beautiful sheen. There isn't another Mac one like it.
Katred - THATS IT! Faultlessly

Thanks - I'm sure that I'll love RR now.

yeah, Stovepipe is haunting me. I agree, there isn't another shade quite like it. This color looks great layered over med. to dark brown shadows.

So glad you brought up Tone Grey! I've been wondering when to wear it since buying it a mont ago and since I just bought 2 items (Acid Washed and Overdyed) from this collection which I previously refused to look at, I'm glad I can maximize the items I have. =D

Check that, make it 4 items. I almost forgot I just ordered Riveting Rose and Pink Cult. I was going to wait 2 weeks and see if they're still around but I was thinking about them so much on the way back home.... eugh, what weak resolve!

Btw, for fellow Torontonians, Fairview has the whole collection and not too many people seemed interested in it. That might change after the weekend tho.
I thought that the Tone Grey quad had a bit of a "denim" feel to it and after comparing swatches of the quad and the Jeanius eyeshadows they seemed to go together (in my brain anyways). Glad I didn't keep my crazy thought to myself. :)

I tried on Acid Washed and Painted On last night and really liked the look, kinda made my lips look lit up (if that makes any sense, like there was a tiny spotlight on them LOL) and sparkley. The sparkles/glitter did migrate a bit but personally it doesn't bother me that much but I know others may not enjoy having a sparkley chin. Although the lipstick and gloss aren't very pigmented they would be good for layering with other colours for nice effects, and I seem to purchase at least one of these types of lipstuffs if they're offered in a collection.

Now I'm wavering on whether or not to get Frayed To Order. It looks nice in some swatches and not so nice in others. I tried it on in the store (actually the SA painted one coat on my pinky) and it looked okay. Who am I kidding, I'll probably break down and get it, hope it still available on Monday.

i bought frayed to order by accident and had to send it back. my first mac return. i contemplated keeping it but frankly from swatches i have seen i am not feeling it. i know i could put a top coat over it to make it glossy but it still looks a little streaky. the downside is that mac said my refund will happen within 30 days! why such a long time mac?!

That sucks, you'd think that they could process a refund a bit quicker. I hope you get your refund well before 30 days!

This is what I mean about Frayed To Order, there are some swatches that make it look pretty and others that make it look like a streaky mess. I think it's all in the application, like with most matte polishes. I keep asking myself if I really think it's worth the money as well as the time to figure out a good technique to apply. Buying makeup shouldn't be so complicated.

i mean i know it was my fault but i guess if people were returning for a genuine reason like the product arrived broke, would you really wanna wait up to 30 days?! hells no! and yeah matte polishes and me dont generally work which is why i decided against it. i like make up to work on first application! i have no time at 6am for faffing around!

-lol I know 13 lipsticks isnt a lot to some. I've always gotten a few things from MAC but never went crazy on it till last year, esp LE. I even got a Kello Kitty post card but threw it away

I really regret missing that collection.

-I was thinking bout Stovepipe too Elegant...damn lol

-LMD, maybe try putting it over a white polish maybe that will help? But thats a lot of work just for a polish isnt it?

-I'm finally checking out the MAC counter at the mall today so I'll check out Acid Washed, Pink Cult if they have it, and Stovepipe e/s.

-I'm also going to ask about applying for a job there...wish me luck.

I totally understand. I regret not returning the palettes from TT. I just dont use them. Such a waste!

It would def be a dream come true! I've been a waitress for 7 years now and I need a change! I've been having a hard time with life lately not having anything. I've been trying to find something I'm passionate about and could possibly excel at. I want to finally find my place in this world, and its not in restaurants. And going to college is just not for me.

Sorry I got so off-topic lol

I think the problem with Frayed to Order is after the 3rd layer you can't really see the pink and on the second layer it looks streaky which is a shame because I really like the pearly sort of look it has to it!

Debenhams just emailed me saying Overdyed and Indigo Pink have been despatched but they are 'validating stock' for Amazon Princess :(
My Pink Cult blush still hasn't arrived!

Alisha1 - I really like the pink in FTO as well and I think you're right, after so many coats it starts to look funky. I don't mind the sheerness too much and I could layer it over a white if I wanted to... Well I have a few days to think about it at least. :) I just need to stop looking at swatches online.

singer82 - I like Acid Washed but just a personal preference. It's not pigmented (a slight silver-beigey sheen) and it has small glitter. You could probably get the same effect with a light layer of Tanarama lipstick and a bit of Explicit lipglass on top (I don't own either of these but just basing a guess on swatches). Also I wanted to wish you luck with applying at MAC. :)

I just remembered one of the MA's at MAC was wearing a thin layer of Frayed to Order over her manicured nails and it did look pretty...but I rarely have time to get my nails done :/

I think thats the best colour out of all the eyeshadows, but I'm resisting because I rarely wear eyeshadows anyways :/ Hope you like it though! :)
I loved it in person & I always do smokey eyes.

Really - you don't wear eyeshadow much? You're so pretty I guess you don't really need to.

Thanks dear
