LOL! I love your thinking... I was actually considering buying some back ups but this makes sense. I would actually Peacocky over regular eyeshadows though....

I don't mind the bigger e/s here and there but I do prefer the regular size cute litle pots. Although when I've hit pan on some of my favs from LE collections I do wish they were bigger.

Space is an issue as I am overflowing as it is, yet I still can't resist a great new e/s. So I guess they got me either way.

^ I didn't even know of MAC's existence in 2002. If I had to be around for one of these though, I'm glad it's Jeanius just based on the name. Demin Dish? Ew. I hate it.

I didn't know Temptalia was in existence in 2002. WOW she is going on 10 years.

I am passing on this collection. From the promo photo to the products. MAC could have saved the time and used it on something better.

For real. That's the year I started University lol. Where has the time gone? I never realised how long ago it was till I read 'going on 10 years'.

Temptalia has been around 3 or 4 years, I forget which. She just places old MAC info on her site :) for reference I guess.

^^ Temptalia has not been around for 10 years.. more like Teresita says -- 3 or 4 is my guess. Since I can't say anything else, I will just say that old info is easily accessible.

MaryJane.. lol.. I started buying MAC in 1991.. and was happily surprised that one of Mickey Contractor's favourite shades was Marrakesh.. which I adored and was a matte from that time

This collection is really not my type. Me and blue shades don't fare all too well. So: skip on the eye, cheek and nail products. Maybe I'll have a look at Indigo Pink l/g, although I find the name is misleading.

I'm going to skip this collection. It seems like Riveting to me in that it's not very exciting, but it's just something to put out. Unless I can really see the copper pearl in the black or blue shadow, I am totally skipping.

i keep trying to wear blues recently and i keep failing! what am i doing wrong! lol!
How do you mean "fail"? It looks like a clown?

Here are a couple of ways I like pulling off a strong color like blue or teal:

1) Densely on the exact shape of the lid only - not extended out to the sides and not blended up past the crease, if blended at all. Pair with liner in waterline, but no upper lid liner. Skip mascara or just use lightly. A highlight color on the brow bone will probably make it look overdone, but a nice highlight on the cheeks, temples and above the brow line is nice. This look only works with hair that's either slicked back, up in a bun or with short hair. 'Just looks weird if you're wearing your hair down.

2) Ringed all around the eye, on full lid and under the eye. Can be blended and smudged outwards and/or all the way up to brows, if you're using something really blendable like MegaMetals or pigments. Again doesn't need liner on the upper lid, and looks good with zero liner, but smudgey liner on the upper lid works too. Precise liner doesn't look right with this look, which should seem really soft and diffused. Looks good with hair up or down. You can do a highlight color on the brow bone or the tear ducts but honestly, it's not necessary - if you use one, it's going to look fancier and more nighttime only.

3) Use a neutral color all over the lids and up to the brow bone and just use a smudge of color in the outer or inner corners of the eyes - not on the lids at all, just in the corners outside the curves of the lids entirely. The idea is use the color as a painterly accent, not for contouring. Along with this, or on its own, use the same color smudged under the eye. This looks good with any type of eye lining, including severe cats eyes, light flips , smudges, whatever you like and the liner in a color that's different than the shadow looks really cool. This is good with any type of hair, but don't go overboard with cheek color.

I'm so totally over the usual crease/outer lid/inner lid rainbow color subdivision look.

I've been buying MAC since 1991 too! My first three lipsticks were Florien, Teak, and Marrakesh! Marrakesh was such a lovely shade. None of them are still available. I had better luck with the first eyeshadows I bought, Vanilla, Folie, and Mystery, all still available.

thanks for the ideas sweetie! it has been failing however not with my application - more just when i have done the look i dont feel like it suits me. i always used to wear blues ok - so not sure what is going on. perhaps my tastes have changed! lighter blues and aquas i am ok with. it's medium blues that seem to be an issue! i shall however be trying out look number 3! that sounds very different to what i would usually do! so thanks so much! today i have given up on blues and i am rocking an amazing yellow, orange with a hint of red and teal combo! it's bright as you like! hee hee!

i know what you mean Lou for some reason i have only worn once blue e/s for the past three months. i have been giving greens and violets all my attention. i think its the winter that makes me feel its out of place. i got complemented by my MA and friend at MAC for a combo -henna on the lid and cranberry in the crease, i blended it a lot though. i thought it wasnt good but everyone said it was very innovating and nice.

my fav combo is brown/ bronze on the lid ( my fav tan pig) and blue on the upper lashline but a thick line- i may or not add a blue liner on the waterline.
if you add a taupe colour on the crease and a vibrant colour on the lid it tones down the look. give it a try!
