Well, I actually ended up getting a little more than I thought I would (and only one of the items I thought I would). I think perhaps because my expectations were so low for this collection, there were some pleasant surprises. Here's a few impressions:
Eye shadows:
Diva in Distress actually looked quite bluish to me. Kind of like a more blue version of filament. The texture is very lustre-like and completely different from the others. White Jeanius is a lot like white frost and a little flaky (not too bad). Motorhead is, as everyone has said, a Deep Truth clone. Stovepipe Black- "black with copper pearl"- is neither black nor coppery. It's actually a deep metallic grey, similar in texture to Silver Ring, but a lot darker.
Hauled- Stovepipe black
Lipglass:
Generally left me pretty cold. I think all of them have dupes either in the regular line, or can be duped with a little playing around. Docile was just released last fall with Fabulous Felines, but if you don't have it and don't have a comparable pink gloss (or really like light pink glosses), it's the nicest of the three.
Lipsticks:
These were actually better than I thought they'd be. Pretty Please is a permanent item, but the two new colours are more interesting than they seemed. Riveting Rose is a deep pinky-purple with a more blue-purple sheen. I think Temptalia compared it to Hang-Up, but I find Hang-Up a lot warmer and redder. It reminded me more of Odyssey, but RR is prettier and has more depth. The real surprise for me was Acid Washed. The finish is described as a glaze, but I find it very sparkly compared to other glazes (even compared to Pervette, which has a sparkle/ sheen). It has a very light neutral base, which tends to change depending on what's behind it (light skin, dark skin, pigmented lips, light coloured lips, etc.) and a lot of sparkle that looks white, gold and pink. About the closest comp I could think of for it would be Smash Hit from the DigiDazzle collection last year. (I don't have Smash Hit, but I do have Liquid Lurex and they looked reasonably similar swatched on my hand.)
Hauled: Riveting Rose and Acid Washed
Blushes:
Did an about face on these. I figured that Overdyed would be an automatic skip for me, since I have Her Blooming Cheek and Azalea, but Overdyed is more muted and considerably cooler-toned than either of those. I like the way it looks on me. I was sure I was going to get Pink Cult, but in the end, I just wasn't wowed. It's a very pretty colour and I think a lot of people with light to medium skin should be able to wear it. It's neutral in tone and pretty natural, but it just seemed like I have other natural blushes that I like more. I think that part of my underwhelmed response was that I went to see the Cremeblend blushes, where there are several pretty, natural looking shades.
Hauled: Overdyed
Nail Polishes:
From the beginning, I was pretty sure I'd get these, but I passed. I may decide to go back for the deep blue one, but I just felt a bit fatigued (!) and unmotivated to get more.
Overall... I like what I bought. there are some nice, distinctive colours, but the whole thing just feels kind of uninspired.
Tried to snap some comparative photos, but in the artificial light, I wasn't happy with how they turned out.
