I totally got sidetracked from the reason I decided to brave Specktra today.
I got my Pink Cult blush today. It was the one thing I got (yay, I'm so proud!!
)
I like it on. I'm amazed at how much more pigmented on it is compared to how it looks in the pan.
I have to agree with Audrey Nichole (and if that wasn't who said this, I'm sorry. But there is no way I have the patience to try to go back a page or two. I'll be here for 5 years. UGH, what is up with the loading of this site for me???)
I agree that while it's really pretty, I don't get the humongoid buzz it's gotten.
Maybe I'm just makeup grumpy??

Got my Overdyed blush - very very pretty on! I love the subtle violet tones in it.
On me, it's a violet raspberry shade. yummy
I also got my BB lipstick in Lilac & it looked perfect with overdyed.

Did they just not get it yet? You should check it out in person if you can. It looks brighter in the pan than what it actually looks like on.

got my box today! tee hee! haven't tried pink cult yet, just washed my face.
i have to say that I love Frayed to Order. it's like having strobe lotion on my nails. it wasn't streaky at all, and feels smooth and satiny on my nail. I did three coats to see what would happen, but two was more than enough. three didn't make a big difference in payoff. I will say that you have to not use too many strokes if you want a smooth finish, but if you are used to matte polishes, this is no big deal. I do no more than three strokes and leave it alone. It dries fast like the other mattes (Zoya) I have, too. I also don't use a base coat for any matte polishes. I might need another bottle of this one, especially if i get my glitter polishes on it and like it or even the crackles from CG.
Biker Blue is nice, but seemed to need more finesse than Frayed to Order. I couldn't put the first coat on, wait a second and then do the second without the first coat pulling with the brush. (I used my regular base coat for this one.)

Since I ordered my polishes (which I love) online I went in to Nordies on Friday to look at the rest of the collection and ended up walking out with both blushes (as well as the new Chanel foundation and 2 of the new Laura Mercier baked eyeshadows). I am not normally a blush gal but these both look amazing on my pale NW15 skin.

I finally tried on Pink Cult, and I am in love!!!! Like others have said, it is soooo much more pigmented and darker on than you would expect from the pan colour, but in a good way! I am new to the whole blush thing, so I think I only own about 7 (including mineralized blushes and BPs!) so this was unique and will become by go-to neutral pink I can totally understand others being underwhelmed if they have lots of different products. If I can get a decent pic for tomorrow, I'll try and post for you what it looks like on my face!

when i went there, they did not have it out.. bt ill definitely go over and try again this fri.. everything comes out so late here =( bt im getting that lippie one way or another. haha.

MrsB--absolutely gorgeous, like someone else pointed out you have beutiful eyes and lashes.
I couldn't believe how pigmented Pink Cult was when I first put it on because it just didn't look it in the pan. I swiped it on and then whoa that's brighter than expected. I had to really blend it down. Next time I was careful not to get so much on the brush and it was just right. It's different than any of my other blushes so this is a great addition.

you look lovely! your eyes are really pretty and natural and the blush is beautiful on you!Here's a quick couple of shots I managed to nab as I went out the door!
I used my regular foundation, just applied with fingers as I was in a hurry, then pink cult blush with painterly as a base and stovepipe as a crease colour on the eye blended out! I hope its okay to put a couple of shots here!

So I bought the Pink Cult blush, even though when in store it looked WAY different than the pictures on line, I expected much more pink where I feel like this is more mauve! I should have bought the magenta one. My mom complimented me on the blush (UGH) I think I may give it to her and go get the other one.
I wanted the Frayed to Order polish too, but didn't allow myself to get it. They have such pricy polishes and the quality is not incredible. :-(

I was a little disappointed when I opened up Pink Cult - I thought it looked EXACTLY like "The Perfect Cheek" (which I already own). Luckily, it looked nothing like it when I put it on. It's much more pinky plum. It's gorgeous! So glad I got it. I'm not even going to depot it because I want to take it when I travel since it will go with everything.

my stuff should get here today..i am so antsy right now, especially knowing my ups guy doesnt show up in my neighborhood till after four...ugh!!!!! :lol: my stuff was pending for a few days before they finally processed and shipped which annoyed me since i ordered right away..oh well as long as i get it..cant wait to get my hands on pink cult...=)
