Hi Everyone! I doubt anyone remembers me.. it's been ages since I posted.
ssad.gif

I just wanted to say that dh was working near a MAC store today, and he surprised me with a few things. I got 2N lipglass, and a few of the lip gelees from Lillyland. I wanted a blush sooo bad and he knew that. They were sold out of all of them.. and they just had optimistic orange. He got it for me to try... and I was bummed because I thought, "ugh, it's going to be yucky orange.."

I didn't see it yet, he's on his way home, but I'm so excited now. I came in this thread to see what you were all saying about that color, and it seems you all like it. Yay!

I am so far behind on the MAC collections... I wanted By Candlelight MSF and they were sold out. It seems like it's sold out everywhere.

After reading many of the posts here I'm now convinced that I MUST get at least one blush (OK maybe 2) and 1 lipgelee. I was thinking of getting So Sweet, So Easy or Joie-De-Vibre.
As for lipgelles I was thinking Shift to Pink
So my question ladies is what would fit my NC 15 skin tone better?

haha - just guessing by looking at your pic, both of those blush colors would look equally pretty on you - seriously. That's a tough call. So it depends on whether you like pink or coral on you better. JDV is still my fav.

Ok so ya'll are gonna smack me. I went to the counter to get JDV and OO last night. I swatched them both, and just could not make myself buy OO. It is pretty, but just not something I would wear but once in a blue moon, and I couldn't justify it. And I just recolored my hair back to auburn, and it was too much. I just can't get into peach/orange/red/gold anything. I am a pink girl all the way. I did get JDV, which is lovely, and I will try it tomorrow. Instead of OO, I picked up a replacement Blushbaby, as I just finished my other one, and it's one of my faves.

My MA went to update the other day, and was showing me the update book. I pretended that I had never seen it before
lol.gif
She said that the Spring color forecast is killer, and so are the blush ombres, so that made me definately pass on OO. I think I have just about reached my blush limit, with a few more to come with the spring collections.

Do we know if these blushes are safe to depot? I have depotted a few blushes in the past, and it didn't go well. I have no problems depotting shadows, but the blushes are a different story. I am running out of storage space, plus I'd love to B2M the packaging, but I am scared. Anyone try to depot yet? Will they melt?

I heard they can melt AND they can dry out when they are put into a blush palette because the air really gets to them when they are not individually packaged. Sounds like not depotting is the best idea

You're super welcome! It would be so terrible to depot them & them have them never work right again!(especially the drying out part!)

Audrey, I felt exactly the same about OO. It really looks stunning on some of the girls on here, but I just couldn't see myself using it.

So we'll both try JDV tomorrow! I got mine monday, but the last three days were crazy hectic in the morning and today I had a job interview (that I bombed), so i didn't feel like trying something new. So tomorrow it is!

^ yeah i wouldnt even attempt depotting creamy products, just cuz they will dry out for sure =S think of it like putting the lid on a paintpot, but not screwing it on... its a frightening sight lol

i am nc20 and so sweet so easy is a light soft pink while JDV is a more warmer tone stronger pink. use 188 with a lighthand and both will work beautifully for you, but so sweet so easy is the most natural looking and easiest to wear. so it really depends on how u like your blush, but both will certainly work nicely on you.

i chickened out of the orange like a lot of you girls, but maybe i should try it out? argh, i love peach blushes........... but i keep thinking it will look orange lol

I love me some pink and since I only have a coral blush then I must get JDV.

I remember you too! You have a nice guy to do that for you! Mine is unemployed still so he hasn't been able to surprise me with anything for months :/

I have both and I'm the exact same skintone and I really like So Sweet, So Easy for a nice no fuss glowy pink look. If you like a little more color you can do Joie De Vibre but their both gorgeous on us!

I am going to be brave and wear Optimistic Orange tomorrow. We'll see how it goes!
lol.gif

Is the name of the orange blush spelled Optomistic Orange (like it says on the website) or Optimistic Orange like it says on the box? I am just curious.

LOL, when I went to get Optimistic Orange & Florida, my friend was with me & she looked at me like I was crazy. And looking at it again I was thinking maybe not. But I tried it on while I was there, cuz of how pretty it looked on people here. I just LOVE it & my friend couldn't believe how pretty it was on either. It's a really crazy blush! Had I not seen & heard about how pretty it was on here I wouldn't have bought it.
