bgajon - ITA both of those blushes would look beautiful on you! Also you mentioned Shift to Pink lip gelee, that one is so pretty! I actually got that one first because I love purples & then ended up with the other ones later.

Oh & like it has been mentioned before these blushes are so pretty on the lips especially under glosses. I like So Sweet So Easy the best to use on my lips, it's such a pretty pink!

Is the name of the orange blush spelled Optomistic Orange (like it says on the website) or Optimistic Orange like it says on the box? I am just curious.

YEAH, can't wait to hear how you like it! Now that it's been talked up so much, I hope you do!

This collection totally caught me by surprise, I wasn't going to get anything at first lol.

Oh that's a good question, wonder if they had a typo on the site?

I used Optimistic Orange today on my cheeks and lips. It looks so beautiful and natural! It's actually a red orange, not neon orange, almost like Dior's bright red blush (can't remember the name). I feel it's somewhat similar to BE Morning blush after you wear it for a while and it melts into your skin. It left a bright pink almost fuchsia stan on my pinkie that washed away real easy with water. But it is definitely coral or light orange red on my cool-toned lips, it might be a great way to warm blue-toned red lippies. On my cheeks, OO looks as warm pink with a touch of peach rather than true beige peach. Loved it. I used BE stippling brush, one light swirl for each cheek. The blush is still on after almost 9 hours of wear over face powder, I can't believe it. Hope my skin loves it, too

I too believe I need to get at least and only ONE of these blushes now after all the raves!
greengrin.gif
Even though I was going back & forth on wanting them as I'm trying not to buy too much
smiles.gif
But I think I WILL get So Sweet, So Easy, which is the one I loved continuously since we found out about the collection. I just HOPE it's not sold out by the time Spring Forecast comes out!

I just wanted to say that dh was working near a MAC store today, and he surprised me with a few things. I got 2N lipglass, and a few of the lip gelees from Lillyland. I wanted a blush sooo bad and he knew that. They were sold out of all of them.. and they just had optimistic orange. He got it for me to try... and I was bummed because I thought, "ugh, it's going to be yucky orange.."

I didn't see it yet, he's on his way home, but I'm so excited now. I came in this thread to see what you were all saying about that color, and it seems you all like it. Yay!

I am so far behind on the MAC collections... I wanted By Candlelight MSF and they were sold out. It seems like it's sold out everywhere.

Sure we remember you! I hope you liked OO, I am still waiting on the collection. It was soo sweet of your dh to get you a surprise

So we'll both try JDV tomorrow! I got mine monday, but the last three days were crazy hectic in the morning and today I had a job interview (that I bombed), so i didn't feel like trying something new. So tomorrow it is!

Oh, sorry to hear that. I am sure your next one will be a lot better. *fingerscrossed*

I actually had to apply a fair amount to get it to show up.

I tried JDV today and I absolutely adore it! I thought it'd be too coral on and I would need to apply a bronzer over it, but nope! So so pretty all on it's own! I used my 188. It took a little longer to apply than when I use a powder blush, but I'm sure that'll change once I get the hang of it. And it looked so pretty and dewy! I am sooo glad I decided to come on this thread, because I had planned on completely skipping these blushes!

And thanks Bis and Smokesignal for your kind words! I really wasn't bummed out about the interview since it was my first in about 7 years (had my two kids during that time)! I needed to get that first one out of the way and figured as much!

I am wearing it today too, and I love it as well! Pinkier than it looks, and gorgeous on the lips! So glad that I went back for it.

Now I'm definitely considering to get at least one blush!!!

I was skipping this because planning on getting 4 blush ombres from Spring Color Forecast, but since they are a scamp I'm getting none. So now, I can guilt-free have at least one from this collection!
