MAC MAC Is Beauty Collection (March 30 / April 2, 2015)

The brushes look awesome! It's weird that they have 3 different areas to find products though. I know they've done that in other collections but I'm trying to figure out why they didn't put the shadows in the "eye" section or the CSG in the "lips" section.

I had to narrow it down to the 2 lippies. My low buy mac resolution was re-playing on the back of my head ( AKA i'm waiting for further collections LOL ) . cause lets see: get up early, go to store to get the beauty powder from bao bao wan. get in store and find out the collection will not be sold there. A normal person turns back empty handed, me ?! I look around "Oh! What's this ?!!" I walked away with 3 lipsticks, 2 lip pencils and a brush cleanser .

Why ???! Cause I'm a :

Ah well, like i alwas say: could be worse! ( I don't smoke, drink etc so yeah, MAC is my addiction)

That said, go for lipsticks. the face powder didn't showed up on me ( I'm an NC 30 usually), I found the eyeshadows to lack pigment and to be honest the colours were kinda meh ..

You're not alone. I was going to do 3 items per collection, but this collection now. If I got my list in the UK on release day, would set me back £155, possibly more If I include a brush. If I head to France, it'll be cheaper for me (€186 = £134.11 - source XE.com) I'm going back to my low buy after this collection and go for a few :fluffy: lessons as well

I do love the BPs but I have two that I don't use much as it is.

This will be my biggest haul since Shop Cook. I have to admit when the information first came out I thought I'd have much more than eight items.

I don't know what to get from this collection yet.. But here's my tentative list but they're all maybes atm! :) Bouffant e/s Real Redhead l/s French Twist l/s Lowlights f/l - perm Siahi f/l Looking Good f/l Deliciously Rich f/l -perm (if the formula has been improved) Might pick up the perm things later (that is, if I still want them in a few weeks).

Diva-ish is really pretty but quite common in color.... the change stands in the texture :)
I was looking for Real redhead or Call the hairdresser but they feel a tad not "moisturizing" enough for my super dry lips.

I finally prefered Make me gorgeous which stands out more, colorwise :)

All of the lipsticks are pretty though :)

Off topic:- I have a lipstick emergency. Got a date on Friday and I have a feeling I wont be wearing my usual purples and navy blues. What lipstick should I go for????

Depends on where you guys are going? Is it casual and fun date or something more sit down and fancy?

I've been wearing makeup for over 50 years, so i know what i like and i think i know what looks good on me (not always the same colors, tho ;-) So making a preliminary list is not too hard for me.

In this collection I'm all about the Beauty Powders - getting both - and Fluidlines. I already have Deliciously Rich, Copperthorn, and Our Secret. So my list is Siahi, Ivy, and Looking Good. Anything perm i can check out later - i'm looking at Brassy and maybe Midnight Snack.

That's only 5 things.

I have enough eyeshadow, but i might get one or two... And after seeing more lipstick swatches, i've changed my list and am considering Notice Me, Real Doll, and Catty. If i miss any of these it's no big deal. But i MUST have the Beauty Powders and those three Fluidlines.
