There are a lot of older Lustres that are kind of weird - a little sheer and also kind of drying. The good news is there have been newer Lustres creeping in since last year that are much more smooth and pigmented and not as drying either. The Lustres in last spring's Fantasy of Flowers collection were all really great - they went on super smoothly but not heavy in texture, and they really made my lips look very full and young. I've been gearing up to pull Fleur d'Coral, Dreaming Dahlia and Rose Lilly out of their winter storage as soon as things start getting springy around here. All of those are excellent and not hard on my dry lips, plus they even blot down to a stain really well, something old Lustres never used to do either.I've never had a Lustre but I like the look of Notice Me
Awesome! Thanks so much Nay! Appreciate itTo get back to the topic of the thread, here's the lipstick pic from Karly: 10895230_1088184511207886_269482920_n.jpg (640×640)
I have Dreaming Dahlia and I quite liked it. I'm usually a fan of more opaque color but it had a nice amount of pigment and did feel pretty good on my lips. There are a lot of older Lustres that are kind of weird - a little sheer and also kind of drying. You'd think, a lustre would be moisturizing lol but no those suckers can be so drying.

Siahi is one I need too. It will be perfect on you. Any other fluidlines calling your name? Lol:nope: Lustres  Trust me its a good thing!!! I have been waiting on MAC to bring back Siahi for the longest! I could only get my hands on Ivy from Mickey Contrctor launch as Siahi was all gone by the time I made it to the counter!!! So excited for that one!!!
Hmm interesting. Perhaps I'll try one, I don't have a problem with dry lipsticks, all my favs are pretty drying so I feel like im somewhat used to it. I like these! Maybe one of them will be my perfect peachy colored Lippie.(...) To get back to the topic of the thread, here's the lipstick pic from Karly: 10895230_1088184511207886_269482920_n.jpg (640×640)
One good thing about these newer Lustres' is they're really good for pastels. Matte pastels can go on so heavy, like clown lips, but something with a thin, silky, skin-like texture makes pastels look more fused with your natural lips. Also letting a tiny bit of the natural lip color through helps fight the clown lips. That's what was nice about the Fantasy of Flowers ones.Hmm interesting.
