I"m joining Team Photo Realism.

I agree with Pnuttbutte, people don't know how to wear bright colors and get scared off easily. they need to be more agressive about teaching at the counters.

^True. And neutrals are easier to wear on a daily basis. It's just more practical for me to wear to work than brighter colors. That's why I loved the Notriety quad because it's an everyday look I can wear to work (I am a social worker so I usually wear minimal makeup).

its not so much being more aggressive as it is about being less lazy. i know how to make brighter colours work for the "normal" person. they teach us that at basic/update. people are just lazy and don't wanna help people, that's all.

wear em as a liner on the bottom for a pop of colour.

pair em with a neutral to make em less intense:

haunting with bronze, romp, tempting.
CTW or OTP with mulch.

wear the brighter colour on the inner 1/3 of the lid, with the neutral on the outer 2/3, or the colour on the middle and the neutral on the inner and outer corners and crease.

purple shower is just plain crap so i won't go there, but would work well with tempting like i paired with vibrant grape in my SW FOTD.

I wear a lot of my bright colors with neutrals on the lid and the bright color on the outer crease -it tones it down enough to wear at the bank I work at
I agree that the formula on some of those brights sucked - they where so pretty in the pot on aweful on my skin , I am not going to buy a color that i have to work way too hard to get to show up

Depends how much?

I can see myself using the lighter colours more than the dark..but I had previously convinced myself to skip the quad cause I can't justify spending so much money! (I've already spent $160AUD which is alot for me

You need to look around for Firespot LE. There are swatches and I think it will definitely show but the orange has more orange than a orange/gold mix rather than OTP orange mixed/lightened with yellow.

I do so want Haunting, but I am just holding off on it. I love your combo with, sounds beautiful..

I went by the Macys counter and the only thing that was sold out was something that I actually wanted! Perfct Topping lipglass.

Perhaps this collection is not as popular as everyone though. Normally quads sell out faster, huh?

I completely agree with Erine about pairing bolder colours with neutrals or browns. That's how I get over my chicken-ness when it comes to colour!

In my town, we have I think 2 MUAs that are really sweet, helpful and knowledgable. They are the ones who really look at the customer and tries to help them get stuff that suits them, and gives valuable tips and pointers. The other ones either try to push things on you, or ignore you, or know less than you. It's kind of weird really. And a bit sad.

Okay today I tried Colour Matters as a base for bitter. The liner surely is beautiful in colour and it was easy to use and blend. I'm glad I bought two of them, since after doing one eye the tip broke right off, so if it acts like that more often, it is used up fast!

Anyway, now I can get some use out of the so-damn-pretty-but hard-to-work-with bitter. Next I will try Obviously Orange with Off The Page.

Hey Pamela! I would totally think people would buy the singles if you depotted the Photorealism quad. I personally LOVE the bottom row/left hand side colour (a kinda greyish green). If I saw that on someone's sale list, I would buy!

Hey everyone!

We're back from Orlando and we had a blast! I loved it in Florida, so beautiful and the shopping was fantastic! Katie, i thought of you as I passed a CCO and had to at least have a look to see what you're all talking about. But I didn't buy anything!

This collection is still keeping me quite content, and because it is, I think I may actually be able to stick to a no-buy for a while! I love pairing Purple Shower with Solar White and Maira's Mood also with SW and Plumage. So pretty and summery, even though this was supposed to be a fall collection?!

OK, blue eyed girls: You need to get Off the Page and Crest the Wave (or other orange/yellow eyeshadows). I am wearing CTW on the inner lid, OTP on mid lid, and Urban Decay Twice Baked (dark brown) in the crease. On my lower lashes I have Obviously Orange with OTP over it. My eyes are SUPER blue. And it's a very wearable look, too!
