We'll file this post in the "better late than never" category.... I got really sick with bronchitis and have been flat out on my back for the last 2 weeks.... I think it's all been said about this collection but I'll add my 2 cents:
Oh and I found a great solution to my make-up-in-the-bathroom issue--I bought a great little storage thingy on casters that I wheel out of the closet into the bathroom, then wheel it right back to the ahll closet! All my stuff is in one place and super organized. It actually is better than before. Thanks for the tip!
- Haunting: Great color but you need to pile it on--I had this from McQueen. best used over the paintpot form that collection with the same hue
- Violet Trance: Nice smokey bluish purple...hard to work with for sure but I like it. had this one also from earlier collection.
- Photo realism: Very pretty green palette. I wear a lot of green eye make-up and I like that while vibrant, these colors can be worn to the office. Noen struck me as terribly unique.
- High Strung L/S: I ahd this already--very pretty frosted taupe-y mauve color on me. A nice basic
- New Spirit L/G: A pretty cool frosted orange but not glittery at all. Nice basic, esp for summer.
- Young Thing: A nice sheer pearl type pof color--nothing unique but I got it since I go through a lot of this sort of shade so what's one more???
- Personal Taste: This was my favorite item--a gorgeous lilac shimmer taupe hint of pink color on me--I love it with stone lip liner for a neitral look or with plum lipliner to pump it up. i ordered 2 back-ups of this.
- Notable: A nice pretty brick-rose. This did not turn borwn or orange-y at all on me--it gave me a nice deep rose flush. It is fairly pigmented so you don't need a lot at all esp. if you are on the light side.
- The Perfect Cheek: Nice natural hint of color.
- Push the Edge Pigment: My word--a dupe for entremeauve. A waste IMO.
- Brash & Bold: Gorgeous, unusual bright pink but hard to wear for day. Glad I have it tho.
- Artistic License: Love this liner--a nice bold bright shimmery aqua. Fun to have.

I received the quads from this collection for my birthday and I wore the photo realism quad when I went out last night and I loved it!! I think that it is one of the prettiest quads that MAC has made.

I received my Notoriety quad today! Decided that it wasnt worth keeping Notoriety, I liked the look of Mulch better so I've depotted it! Going to sell it instead

I'm sooo glad you love Photo Realism. Considering we have very different skintones but love it the same says a lot about how nice it is.

I wore the lightest three of the notoriety shades today! Love skintone 2 and rich and earthy!
Skintone 1 was just shimmer? I'll try again tomorrow. But love the other two, 8 and a half hours later and it still looks like I just applied it! (with a little help from TFSI)

. Perhaps the NC40/42 would suit me better, but I haven't tried that all over my face yet.

Hihihi I think you should definitely [at least] try it
I'm NC44 for the Select Tint SPF 15 (MAC's discontinued tinted moisturizer). But I tried NC44 with Mineralized Satinfinish Foundation and it's way too orange

To clarify things: I didn't buy the Mineralized Satinfinish. I was just trying out the shade on my own at the counter.

so a few weeks on from this release i am loving my photo realism quad the most. also wishing that i had bought the gold glitter because it'd make a fantatic eyeliner! and i'm hoping to buy crest the wave next month as a replacement for my going bananas which is nearly out
