You know people will still buy this brush!! Regardless of the foolish price - some are in too deep! Imagine, just because someone has taken a chisel to a brush handle, the price is increased.

Cripe! $75? When I first saw that brush I thought "I'm going to buy that no matter how much it costs" thinking it would be REASONABLE at least. Now, I'm going to have to say forget it. Not worth it. Not even if I was still working and had the money.

I want that brush so much, but even I have to draw the line somewhere. I have to skip the brush so that means I'm skipping the entire collection. Oh well.

Since the brush is so expensive, do you guys think the rest of the collection will be too aswell? I mean the couture collection is already pricey but will it be jacked up even more than say last year?!

Yup. Form over substance, IMHO. Skippety skip for moi. Although I am a sucker for perfume, so I could waffle over that decision to buy the fragrance...

Wow, that's just nuts for a brush. If you want to dish out that much money for a fancy handle, then all the power to ya. For me, $42 seems quite high for a brush; however, I use my 187 almost every day, so I've certainly gotten my money's worth.

You girls are so lucky, mac is so insanely overpriced in NZ that I think my regular 187 worked out to be about USD $65 so I dread to think how much that brush would be here.

I'm officially skipping this collection. This is the second time that I've passed on a couture collection. I may have to go on a November no-buy and I'm thinking about hauling on my birthday.
