L-R: Flattering, Cafe Mate, Tango, All Grown Up, Orange Dare, You Say Tomato
L-R: 40's Pink, Seriously Rich, Rougette, Night Violet
L-R: Classic Dame, Power Suit, Poise, Immodest, Composure, Rapturous

Thanks for those pics! Now, I want Flattering, 40's pink, Seriously Pink and Poise! well, I will see how these all look on my NC50 skin! But they are beautiful!

That's still only in the double digits, so I'm showing some restraint ...

lily: I've got a few questions about the mattene lipsticks

Amy: Sure, go right ahead.
lily: Is the staying power similar to the matte lipsticks?
Amy: Yes, they are. I tried them on in my training a while back and they are very long wearing.
lily: also, is rapturous (red berry) more red or purple toned?
Amy: Let me look at my notes, Lily. It's been awhile since I viewed them so I'm trying to remember.
lily: Thanks for checking! I've been looking for a muted warm berry red, but I haven't found anything in the permanent collection.
Amy: Thank you so much for holding, Lily. It's a deep berry red. No purple.
Amy: If you have New York Apple Lipstick it's sort of like that only deeper.
lily: New York Apple turned sort of fuchsia on me. I have lovemate (from classic coordinates) and I like it, but I'm looking for something a little redder.
lily: could you recommend something?
Amy: Yes, Love Mate is a favorite of mine too!
Amy: I think you'll actually really like this new colour.
Amy: It's very rich in colour like Love Mate.
lily: how about classic dame from mattene? would that be closer?
Amy: Yes, it's definitely more true red from what I can remember when I viewed it.
lily: do you have any other favorite muted reds (maybe even discontinued shades)?
Amy: Yes, I love Dubonnet and Berry Boost Lipstick now discontinued is my all time favorite.
lily: thanks so much! I only have one last question. Is 40's pink, from mattene, too close to brave lipstick to merit owning both?
Amy: It is extremely close, 40's Pink pops a little more than Brave and is slightly more "butter" pink.

I am really curious about the Mattene lipsticks, their texture and how long wearing they are. I am pretty sure the colours will look much better than in the promo image, we all know the colours are quite 'off' as compared to the real thing.
Btw I love the slim tube too! It's just so sleek, I am in total love with my Slimshine lipsticks!

I bought 7 of the new Matte2 eyeshadows today at my PRO store. The texture is beautiful, they apply much more smoothly than the old Matte textured shadows.
My MAC makeup artist told me that these will be permanent, and as such I was able to buy these as pans and save the hassle of depotting, and save some $$.
I've put them next to some recent LE colours so you can see how the Matte2's compare! ^__^" (Crystal Avalanche was already in the palette and I didn't take it out. It's nothing new
)
