No problem.

I'm sure others have a more technical grasp of the science involved, but that's my general understanding.

probably a silly question - but do you just use an ordinary bar fridge (under counter type)....or is there an actual marketed 'beauty fridge' out there....

i suppose i can probably share the bar fridge with my husband's beer ;)
i used to use just a normal mini fridge but now i don't bother. where i live it's silly cold anyway :p lol!

Metallic Ash is the only 1 that appeals to me. I shall try it out in the store & wear it for the day & if it works out, I will pick it up the following day.

Swatches!!!

I did't get the names, but you can easily figer them out. First I did some really packed swatches, then spread them out, some were left little clumpy. I don't know if I'm able give any comments (these are new to me), except they don't seem to dry up for the heavy layer. A MUA was wearing the green one without a primer, and it creased. I did not get any (for now at least), but I like the Venetian Tarnish (Golden tarnished bronze), and the other warm colors. The MUA said they are better applied with a finger.

Edit: Over 3 hours later, and I can still spread them out. Hmm...

thanks so much for the pic! the colours are so pretty but if they are that spreadable they just won't work on my oily face :(

You really only can use them in thin layers. Any cream e/s will crease when applied in a thick layer (no matter if it is a p/p, crushed metals or a Metal X). You will get the same metallic effect with just a thin layer.

I used to have a college sized fridge for creams and stuff at some point hahaha when I was in NYC. it was in my room so i stored water and beauty products. But there are special beauty product fridges... i just dont think they are worth the money for how small they are.

After some time, (and cos i moved), i decided i'll skip the fridge and just used the products and whatever happens to them happens... I do keep my facial masks with my food... :p

I'm surprised that a MUA suggested finger application

.

IMO, the 239 works best with the Metal X as it is fluffy enough to pick up enough product while at the same time, the bristles are stiff enough to ensure that you can spread it out in a thin layer. A finger application will certainly result in creasing.

Maybe the finger will work if you use it as a cheek highlight, but even then I wouldn't want to put my finger in the pot. For the cheeks, I would use the 192 or the 162, the latter one is my preference as it is the perfect size of a cheek highlight.

Yes, I know that, but here I put a lot of product to see the colors. Also I had to use q tips to pick up the stuff from the pans, so it was not perfect in that way either.

I don't know about the finger application, one has try and see.

This is one of the rare Mac launches I have no rush to see. This morning I got an email saying this is up at my counter, but I didn't get excited at all. I have some serious doubts when it comes to metal-x. The colours look very pretty though.

I probably don't need these with all the Aqua Creams and Paint Pots I got. But I'm still interested to read reviews and see swatches.

It has been released in Germany earlier this week, so maybe we get some reviews soon.

It's up also in Italy buuuut mmmmm I prefer to spend money on Gareth Pugh... but I'm also really curious about them! I simply think they couldn't work on my oily lids

If you can go to a store, try them out (on your lids) and see how they work out for you. I recommend to prep your lids with P+P powder followed by a p/p of your choice before apply a thin layer with the 239 brush. If applied to the crease, I would set it with a powder e/s. Enjoy.

I should try this way! Thank you (there's no chance to save money thenXD)
