In my opinion, if it wears well on you, who cares if it's "meant for" oily skin or not. Dear, your NARS Sheer Glow wasn't really "meant for" oily skin either, the Sheer Matte was.

For the life of me, I can't get F&B to build much...

So unless you want light coverage, skim F&B.

I'm going to get MUFE Mat Velvet+ when my card & catalog arrive.

I do love my Studio Fix Fluid, though.

i love the brush. i've had it for a couple of weeks now and like using it to apply my pearl ccb as a highlight. and today i used it with the new mineral foundation and liked it

took a while as you say, but it wasn't streaky looking and also i feel like i didn't use that much product

i used the foundation today. applying it with the 130 brush was great! really good coverage and i felt like i didn't use that much product when using the brush. i use more if i use my fingers. the foundation texture is so creamy - love it! it seemed to melt into my skin (which can be dry at this time of year) my first impressions of the foundation are good. but i shall report back when i'm home from work on how it is after a 9 hour work day!

Unless you have a great setting powder, I would skip MAC F&B. You have to be really patient with F&B. It starts really liquidy and the more you rub it into your skin the creamier it becomes - it really looks like your skin but better - - but it does take a lot of building it up if you need coverage. Also it leaves the skin kind of dewy and shiny, which only looks dewyer and shinyer as the day goes on. So for me (naturally oily and shiny) I really only use this on special occasions.

This morning I tried this foundation out at my counter and it feels great on the skin. I have dry skin but oily on my forehead and nose area..so I will see how this looks at the end of the day on my oily parts and how it manages on my dry slightly flaky parts..sounds awful doesn't it..lol. The MA said this works great on mature skins..so since I have "mature skin" it should work for me right

. It did cover my pores nicely, does not feel heavy on my face or greasy at that, just melts into my skin. and just to let you all know this foundation runs slightly darker but true to colour, not like Studio Sculpt foundation which was weird with their colour numbers..I remember their NC having more pinky tones and their NW having more yellow (the lighter coloured). The NC 15 matched me perfectly right now( just for reference I was matched to NC20 in their other foundations which some seemed a little orangey on me..this one does not look orangey at all, and I am currently wearing NARS sheer glow in Ceylan which is a perfect match)..but I did not purchase as I want to see how it lasts during the day with my combo skin, if it oxides, breaks me.etc...also I am thinking of getting the NC20 for summer as I dont tan and use bronzers this might work better.

MUFE Mat+ Velvet is completely full coverage and very matte. It is thick and you might have to dilute it with moisturizer a little if you don't want it that thick or dampen your brush with FIX+. You have TO work quickly with it too. But is one of the best foundations I have tried for oily skin

So in terms of coverage from full to medium:
1. MUFE mat
2. Revlon Colorstay, my all-time favorite

3. Studio Fix liquid

ok so i wore this foundation for about 10 hours total today! and overall it has lasted very well! i usually get oily on my forehead and the same thing happened with this foundation. potentially i looked ever so slightly more oily.... but nothing major. i think that perhaps if i re-apply some powder this would help me with this foundation and my usual revlon one!

the foundation didn't go patchy throughout the day, didn't highlight any dry patches that i have. so overall i am very happy! i shall keep using my sample over the next couple of days to see if it breaks me out or not. i'm hoping that it won't because i really love it!

Thanks so much! I was just reading reviews on MakeupAlley and trying to decide between MUFE HD and MUFE Mat Velvet. I was leaning toward the MAt Velvet since it's matte which is exactly what I want!

Have you tried the MUFE Camo palette or Extreme Camo cream concealer? I am looking for something to cover red blemishes... I love the MAC studio sculpt concealer but I have it in NW and now need an NC for covering redness.

I picked mine up today in NC50 as well as the brush. The MA automatically reached for NW45

All chocolate girls do not translate to NW45. I advised her to pick up a NC50 to test as well. The NC50 looked better. Duh, you can look at my chest area and tell I'm more yellow than red. I have combo skin that tends to get oily in my t-zone and some areas can get dry. I'll be giving this a test run over the next few days and report back.

I found that the oxidizing/turning orange stopped for me when I left NW45 and moved on to NC50/55. I wore it for a few hours before I took it off. I only took it off because it was only put on for color matching so no primer or concealer applied. For the few hours I had it on I liked it. It felt like nothing was on my skin. I didn't notice any oxidizing during the time I had it on.

agreed! I tried this new MAC foundation, it looks great on, and I was skeptical when I saw the size of the brush, but it worked really well. With that being said, the results was good I liked the way my skin looked, but, I preferred my Nars sheer glow over this. I also love my revlon colourstay, so I'll stick to the foundation lineup that I have now. I am definately keeping the brush though. I love it! it works much better for applying creme blush.
