call down people. for some reason nordstrom came out with the collection earlier than anyone else, and they just don't have all the colors online yet. go to your local nordstrom and get your color. otherwise, just wait til it comes out at all locations. btw, these will only be permanent at stores.

I had to order light (NW15). The gals told me that the light medium was too yellow. Sooo, will I still be able to get the light if i fall in love with this? I thought I read earlier that it would not be available as a perm color?
TIA

Re: MAC Mineralize Powder Foundation Discussion

I went to Nordstrom today and tried this stuff out, the MA used light. I love how it's super light on my skin and how soft it feels! I think it is worth the $29.

So I'm NW 20/25... I wear MSFN Medium. But I'm very cool with pink undertones; does that mean I can't wear the Light Medium? It's warm toned?

I think Light is to light for me. I won't be able to see it in person, so any advice is appreciated.

I'm guessing the light is too light for you. The best thing would be to call a Nordstom MAC counter & ask them what would be best for your skin color

I tried this today at Nordstrom and was a bit disappointed. I am NW15 and the light was too dark for me. Also, it was really sparkly; too sparkly for my taste. It felt good going on and gave good coverage, but unfortunately it just didn't work. Bummer! I had high hopes for this.

I love it!
I put it on with my 187 brush and then buff it with the sponge applicator.

I have Bare minerals also and that did not irritate my skin so i have no idea if this one will irritate sensitive skin, sorry.

Re: MAC Mineralize Powder Foundation Discussion

I got it! I got Light Medium. I have been wearing MSF Naturals for almost a year and this seems to have a lighter, more natural coverage.

Swatches of Mineralize vs. my MSF naturals here:

I'm not sure how I like the coverage and finish yet because it's so different. I'll do an Easter FOTD tomorrow and you guys can be the judge!

I have pretty decent skin so usually I only wear MSF Natural, applied with a kabuki or other dense brush. I often got cakey or flaky spots, even with Fix+. The Mineralize went on lighter and seemed to melt into my skin better, probably due to all the buffing. It is lighter than the MSF and your real skin shows through more.

I've never worn MMU before so I'm going to have to get used to it but I think I'm really going to like it. I like a really fresh, luminous look and it looks really nice over Strobe.

Re: MAC Mineralize Powder Foundation Discussion

I went to Nordstrom bright and early this morning to get my heatherette and mineralize loose. I am a NW20 and I found that the light medium was too dark so I the MA tried Light on me and it works really well. I have been wearing it since this morning and I have not had to blot once. I am not too sold on the applicator that it comes with but when I used it with the 182 it worked like a dream (I like a heavier coverage).

I also wanted to mention that first tried this without a primer and felt like it caked a bit. It works a lot better with Fix+, Prep & Prime, or another primer.

I am absolutely loving this foundation. It definitely works better with a primer. I put it on today over Lorac Luminizer and it was gorgeous. I prefer a dewy finish so as not to fight nature and that is exactly what I got.

Re: MAC Mineralize Powder Foundation Discussion

it actually has more coverage than the MSFN. MSFN is sheer to medium, depending on the brush you use, where the MFL has medium to full coverage. MSFN has a natural-matte, finish and MFL has a natural finish, but the more you buff it, the more it changes to natural-satin finish. you can also make it more matte and have more coverage by applying it with a #190 or a #191.

If this is true, I'll be in heaven. I still find the MSF natural a bit orange on my NC30 Chinese skin, and I went from medium to light medium in order to lessen the orangeness. I wasn't too interested in these before but this bit of info definitely has my attention!

If i'm wearing Light Medium MSF Natural, NC15 SFF, NW20 SF and NC20 Select SPF/Mineralize Satinfinish, should i go for Light or Light Medium?

Since its running darker, you may have to go a shade lighter. I would recommend calling a Nordstroms Mac counter & asking an artist.

Re: MAC Mineralize Powder Foundation Discussion

Well my LMF arrived today!

It is very finely milled and gave my skin that airbrushed looked - just like the MAC mua described it on their skin. It absolutely (at least on my skin) did not look cakey, did not settle into any lines. It just made my skin look very polished, flawless, natural & very smooth feeling. It is mostly matte but with a very, very slight glow to it.

The color of the light is more yellow based than the light MSF solid which is more beige - although very subtle difference. I wouldn't have called it 'darker' than the solid. It covered any darker/red areas beautifully. I always used the BE multitasking mineral under my eyes & over my lids as a base, but the BE did have a tendency to cake a little - this (MAC LMF) did not at all & still naturally covered nicely.

The applicator is very soft & nice to use & comes with an additional sock, but I liked the 190se brush better for just a little more coverage & ease of use around the eyes & nose areas. And, I'm just more used to using it.

I'll have to live with it a few days...but so far its pretty darn good IMO. I will post pics.

When these come to stores next month will they also be on the MAC web site?
