Ok, so I did a side-by-side comparison. One thing I noticed right a way was besides volume was less with Opulash but it undid my curl in my lashes I did before hand. I think it is because I use mascaras under my lashes rather than on top because I get more volume. I do a brush it on top just a bit, but most of the product goes underneath. I get a lot more length with Opulash versus DiorShow. For thicker, fuller lashes DiorShow is still #1 in my book.

Both are with three coats. I spoke to MAC Senior Artist Keri B how she got her lashes to look great with Opulash since my results weren't the same she said besides her lashes being great naturally she puts three coats.

I lost my (full-size) prestige/high-end mascara virginity to this mascara!

LashBlast's brush is so different, I feel like I almost can't compare it. I honestly hated the brush, because I felt like I was always poking myself with the rubber spikes bristles. I prefer the more traditional Opulash brush, and the formula is so much darker than LashBlast's Very Black. I feel like the results are somewhat similar thickening/volumizing-wise. I really don't pay attention to lengthening effects as much as I should.

I've also gone without taking off this mascara at night (bad Erin!) and it looked freshly applied. Not even kidding. No smudging, no flaking, nothing. A+ for staying power, yet it still was so easy to take off with both my Neutrogena oil-free makeup remover & my Yes to Carrots makeup remover.

Thanks so much for this! I might just give it a try after all. I've been noticing mascara pepper on my cheeks mid-day from the LashBlast, so the staying power of the Opulash might be worth it alone.

Thanks for the great pic comparison! I wish regular diorshow looked that good on me. It just flakes like crazy on me. Opulash looks so blah on you compared to diorshow!

I love love the (already not so) new Studio Fix Lash - it is the only mascara that doesn't clump my lashes like crazy (can you say Zoom Lash and Pro Lash
lol.gif
). But I am nearing its "toss point" so I might check this one out

Especially if it holds my curl better than the Studio Fix - I have almost given up my hope for curled lashes - nothing helps me

I want to try getting a perm for my lashes because I have tried everything else...

Try the waterproof one. Doesn't flake like the original.

I got my Opulash on Friday and love it!

I'm very greasy and the Diorshow either flakes on me or leaves those attractive mascara dots under my brows.

I didn't think I'd like the Opulash brush, but it has a nice grip to it so you can get the base of the lashes. Lashes hold their curl and no oily dots at the end of the day, no smudges, and no flakes.

Alright, I threw this mascara on as soon as I got up (this afternoon LOL). I have to say that I really like it. I can't compare it to other Mac mascara's because I've never tried one before. There was no clumping, flaking, and it didn't stay wet (ever had that problem? It's gross).

Now the bad news: That big a$$ wand! mac, you have a winning formula, why include a brush big enough for King Kong's lashes? I got mascara on my lid and you know that's a tragedy when wearing shadow. I am good at applying mascara, it takes me 2 seconds and I never get mascara on my lid. Fault lies with this brush. So I have to take more time to not get it on my lid when I do wear shadow. That is the only negative.

Here are pics of both eyes. I am also wearing the Chromographic Pencil. I'll see how both wear throughout the day. (For reference, I have long, semi straight lashes that already have enough volume. What I look for is curl in my mascara. I only applied it to the upper lash, never the bottom.)

It looks good, but would you consider it a "false lashes" look? I would have expected a lot more drama from it given the description!

Well, looking in the mirror just now I would say it does give a false look. Perhaps, the impact would've been better captured had I zoomed out a bit and given a view of both eyes, but I look busted right now so that's not happening! I'm just slummin' it in the house. I definitely think it can be built up, though. I get the look I want with one coat, but another coat or two could make it pretty outrageous, I think.

I love this mascara a lot out of ALL the MAC mascaras but it isn't my go to or hg, I am afraid. It does give the look of falsies but not dramatic ones, it gives the look of natural long lashes without the clump. It lengthened my lashes and provided a bit volume. My lashes looked just like that in the promo pic when I had curled them. I am growing my lashes (using Tarte's lash serum) and then I will use this mascara again to see what a difference it makes.

Pic: I just curled them so the ends kinda stuck together a bit but you can see that they don't clump together. Nor does it flake. But the brush is big that you need to be careful you don't make a boo boo like I did lol

All this talk of a big brush is making me have second thoughts. If I hated CG Lashblast cause of the big brush, will I hate this one too? Is it as big, or bigger than LB? Anyone know?

Shontay & Monica - pretty eyes!

Is it bigger than Diorshow's wand? I guess since I'm used to that size it will be ok, but it is so much easier to get it where you don't want it with that stupid big wand

I love how someone called the fallout Mascara Pepper

Thank you e.o.! No, the Dior wand is bigger than Opulash. But the Opulash is bigger than LB.

Opulash is probably big as Benefit's Bad Gal Lash.
