@liba I'm seeing what you mean about colors looking similar.. Fearless and Kittenish look close enough to me to not want Fearless. The only other one I was really interested in was Patentpink and it's a bit intense for me so I'll be passing. I tried the Revlon balms last year and wasn't a fan of the texture, I like these a lot more. I also like the Covergirl ones and the Loreal Color Riche balms which are a little more sheer (and cheaper) so I might pick up some of those when I finish some of my other ones.

This is the Go for Girlie patent polish lip pencil. Comparable to the first Viva Glam Nicki, which is swatched third on the right. Go for Girlie is in the middle, and I swatched Rose Lily on the far left to compare the finish. Compared to VVG Nicki Go for Girlie isn't as pink, cool toned, or opaque. The finish really does look like a MAC lustre lipstick formula. It's really shiny, and has a bit of slip to it. Like a lustre, it's not forgiving to any imperfections on your lips. In all the hype of(for me anyway) catching the early release of a new MAC collection, I didn't realize that I was paying $20 for something that didn't have any swatches or reviews. It didn't hit me until I compared amount of product from the lip pencil(2.5g) and a lipstick(3g). I feel like I pretty much paid $5 extra for a lustre lipstick in a push up chubby pencil form.
That's exactly why I didn't buy any. I gorged on Huggables, but not until after I'd tried a bunch of them.

Pencils don't have a lot of product in them. I have a Tarte Lipsurgence one that reminds me of some of MAC Lustres - I like it a lot and will likely buy a holiday set of them if they launch one this year. I won't pay $24 a pop for them though.

My personal feeling on pencils is that most of the time a like lippie is a better option. If they're matte, why not go for a full-sized? If they're sheer or lustre-like that requires frequent reapplication (Karen's beef with these pencils), then why not just buy a lustre? Or better still, BTM for one (that's how I got Dreaming Dahlia and Heavenly hybrid).

I know lots of people are into these, but I don't personally get the draw.

I got my order today. Just put on kittenish. Its more pink and more color than I was expecting. For some reason I thought it would be more neutral. But its definitely a pinky mauve on my lips. I like these. They go on exactly like the huggables on my lips. Its not exactly a lipcolor I would gravitate towards. The texture is great and doesn't accentuate any dry patches. I think for spring though I will be wearing more go for girlie and teen dream.

I got mine today... it's going back.

If you don't like the way lip gloss feels, you won't like these, because that's exactly what it felt like to me. I should have took the description of these more seriously! lol. Also, the color (Sultana) did not look good on me, which was surprising since I wear vampy colors all the time. And for the price, there wasn't much product. I'm going to return this and probably pick up one of the Mineralizes that I've had my eyes on.

Okay I just received patentpink and teen dream. So far I'm happy, teen dream is very orange and not QUITE as bright as I hoped, but it's still definitely something I'll wear, I'm just on the road in bad lighting and my makeup today doesn't match orange lips. Patentpink is fantastic, it's pretty opaque and pastel, and it's very forgiving on my lips (which are a chapped mess). Okay I just tried teen dream on again and I DO like it. Maybe just a pale lip liner underneath next time. Bottom line: very happy, not returning them! But if you don't like lustre or brights/pastels, these won't b ur thing

My little review after wearing kittenish all day is... I LOVE the color. It's a perfect MLBB for me. It's a dusty mauve pink but it doesn't stay on. I applied it and about 20 Minutes later I ate a lollipop (a dum dum from my diaper bag lol) and I had a patch where the stick was lol. So I put it on again. It was about an hour and it faded into my lip color but I could still feel it on. It could just be the color I choose with my pigmented lips. I do like it, I am keeping it, and I would get another but be prepared to reapply it a lot all day. Mine didn't even make it through a cup of coffee. Again.. I do really like the formula if someone can suggest staying power. It lasts about as long as an Estée Laurder pure color crystal but it doesn't even stay on as long as a Chanel Rouge Coco Shine (which are short wear) if that's a helpful reference. The color is beautiful though

After wearing my kittenish all day as well (and it was a work day), I have the exact same sentiments as you! The color is gorgeous, but it definitely needs to be re-applied quite often which is not exactly easy when you are teaching a 3 hour class! What I don't like is that it leaves a stain around my lips and ends up looking like I lined my lips with it (without the fill-in). Not exactly a good look---haha! That said, I prefer this color to haute altitude and a slew of other similar shades Mac has been putting out these past few years. It is the perfect shade, just wish it would stay on! Would love this as a matte!

I have been wearing these over my mattes.. as I did with Huggables. It ensures staying power.. lol
