I finally got my hands on some of these. I really like how they settle on my lips. Even a lighter colour is opaque (I get lighter lips than my natural ones), and my lips stay defined (they're better than with Huggables!). I'm going to be so all over French Kiss!!!

So I wear these incessantly. Even my Huggables have been taking a back seat lately.

Objectively, Spontaneous is probably the most flattering of the entire bunch on me. Perfect MLBB. I really love Teen Dream too. It's so adorably trendy. I honestly can't say I wear any one color more than any other, because I just keep them all together and grab any one at will, from day to day. I bought most of them and just trade off, rather than BU'ing them up. I DID BU Spontaneous, though, since long after the novelty wears off, that is the most timeless color for me for any occasion.

self-sharpening? explain!

I'm sure Liba will see this and write one of her great answers, but until then... They actually don't need sharpened. The rounded tip makes them like a combination of a lip balm and lipstick crayon. They're big like "chubby pencils", so they cover your lip easily. As you use it, you twist it up like a lipstick. I have the Nars and UD ones, and while i really like them, you only get a few wears (2 or 3) before you have to sharpen them. I really like these- they're a nice low-maintenance lip item.

My patentpolishes just came in the mail. I orderd teen dream and berry bolt. My pencils smell a bit funky, do you guys have this too or is did something go wrong with mine?

i have 3 and i just smelled each of them. they all smell like that traditional vanilla MAC smell.

Maybe its just me today, my boyfriend did smell vanille. I do love teen dream!! I hope they make these permanent. Thanks for the smelltest though! ompom:

my stores here are sold out of some colors already. np with the smell test. i had one near me but wanted to check all in case they smell different. smelling them makes me want to buy more mac. maybe the vanilla smell is a super secret formula that makes you want to buy more!!!! see i knew there was a reason we all get addicted to MAC lol jk

Lol yes Mac is so addictive! With all these new collections, i really have too use my head otherwise my hole paycheck would be gone by now! I am still thinking about buying a BU for teen dream, what do you guys think? I am just starting with MAC lipsticks, would it be easy to find a good replacement when my teen dream is gone?

I have only just received mine so I haven' t had the chance to try a lot of combos yet.
But yesterday I had Briar Rose BP on my cheeks and applied PP and loved that combo

Any cool toned pink/lavender should look amazing paired with PP.
Full of Joy, Azalea Blossom, Sunday Afternoon, Veronica' s Blush, Pink Buttercream, Unconventional etc.etc.etc.
So many possibilities!


I think that Strada or Notorious (Chanel) paired with PP look awesome too

Mine smell normal too. I think I have 6 or 7 now (can you tell that I love them

LOL). They sold out at both the Mac counters I frequent, so even though there isn't a lot of positive buzz about them online, people are still liking them which is great I think!

I already BU'd Hopelessly Devoted because it is just so perfect on my complexion, but I love them all! I haven't tried Patentpink yet because generally I can't pull off cool pinks.
