Still no swatches??? I went away for a while hoping that when I came back, I'd be in for a little surprise. Guess not.

seeing as we only just got swatches for the couture collection which is relased any day now i think it's safe to say we most likely wont get swatches until right before this collection gets released

I keep thinking about this collection &when I do, it's always in light blue packaging. It's too bad they aren't doing something special because I can imagine awesome looking light blue lippy packaging with a peacock design on it.

yeah special packaging would have been a nice extra! but hey ho!

since we don't have swatches, we should talk about what we think the colors are going to be like...

i expect/want mating call to be a dark purple - that's got the pigmentation of mufe 92 but a little less bright and neon-like, with pigmentation like humid (i barely have to touch my brush to it and i get a ton of color)...plus the vitamin e in it will actually make my eyes feel better and prevent any signs of exhaustion and reverse any aging that has happened and make me look like i am 14 again...

Is it just me or has specktra emptied out there's hardly any new post in the threads I'm subbed to and no new info. So sad. Back on topic how am I supposed to budget if I have NO IDEA what I'm getting. I might end up spending my money on the perm line.

Yeah I think MAC will lose lots of buyers due to not being able to see swatches prior to the release. My interests have gone elsewhere. ;P

Yeah, I defiinitely agree that most color collection threads have become much quieter now (only to explode right after the first swatches appear on one or another beauty blog).
Although I do also understand Mac's reasons for this, I really do miss the whole "making lists and drooling over swatches" thing.

I totally agree!
My Sephora purchasing has gone way up in proportion to MAC, whereas I used to buy at Sephora only occasionally while I would anticipate/plan for my upcoming MAC purchases.

^^ You know, it's funny, I'm the opposite - I used to be a big Sephora person, but as my collection has increased I've found that I've turned almost exclusive to MAC for new products, just because with all of the colours available they are the most unique to my collection, plus I love them and the price is reasonable for the quality of product you're getting Although right now I'm not buying anything until after Xmas, so I guess it doesn't make a huge difference either way

I'm the same, Jenn! Used to be a huge Sephora shopper but now I'm mostly MAC.

Picking 2 is a rough proposition.

2 for everyday constant use: Super & Sexpectations

2 for gorgeous crazy fun: Peacocky & Odalisque

Truth of the matter is, if the textures are what I'm hoping they'll be, I'll probably be getting 3 or 4 each of the shadows and lip colours: Super, Flaunting It, Peacocky, Exxhibitionist for the lips and Odalisque, Sexpectations, one of the bronzes and one of the purples. If I feel flush, I'd go for Dalliance and a red or pink lippie too.

I'm glad things have been quiet for a couple of months, 'cuz this is going to be horribly $$$$.

I would def get Odalisque I love the color teal and probably Noir plum or mating call.
