I could just be talking out of my ass LOL
Thanks for responding to Prance my lovely ladies! It's one of the shadows I'm most excited for!

Lol, I agree - gotta have my daily dose of Specktra!

HG, amen to no inflation for food yet... eep!

I've finally narrowed down my list to something manageable:

Woo Me
Centre Stage
Dalliance
Top of the Posh

I feel like these are the shades I am most excited for and will get the most use out of, although there were definitely some gorgeous shades for evening in this collection! Between this and MC, I'm going to get away with only spending about CAD$150, which is much less than my original list, so I'm happy making the investment :) Especially after HGs economy lesson lol

I think MAC was counting on this formula becoming successful, so why not start with regular colors? I am pretty sure these will be a big hit...so I dont see this formula going anywhere after this coll, I can see the colors getting more unique later on down the road... Just my

You make a good point. There are certainly good reasons to keep the collection within the range that would be appealing to most people. I think that within the range of colours they included, they might have included some that weren't quite as easily duped- for instance, ones that more closely resemble earlier LE items that were popular (e.g., Mothbrown), but not too far afield.

That's what I thought, the last time I did a huge B2M was at a pro store..and I just called a counter @ The Bay, maybe they have different rules? I'll try anyways.

^The Bay only does lipsticks - no glosses or eyeshadow. It's worth trying the Pro store if you have a bunch of empties.

Can anyone tell me how Top of the Posh compares on skin between Ego and Beauty Sleep? I have both colors and love Ego but hate beauty sleep on me.

I really need to see how these eye shadows feel. So far I want: Prance, Dalliance, Noir, Centre Stage, Unflappable, and maybe Tweet me.
I did just read a not so good review about them so i'm a little unsure right now.

if everyone is tutting about the prices, i hate to think how much they will be in New Zealand. i wonder how the lippies wear, not interested in the e/s at all! all that catches my eye is woo me lippy, but want to hear how it wears. will be looking forward for all your ladies opinions!

I would think that the price ratios would probably hold no matter where: The shadows should be the same price as pigments and the lipsticks slightly less.

Temptalia had some comments on the wear time of the lippies and I believe she said that they were very good, even when eating or drinking, with the darker colours, less on the lighter colours.

Same here, the eyeshadows will probably be 20-23 euros ($26-30)

We didn't get DTW so hard to say about the kissables but they'll probably around 20 euros too.

I think they'll be the same price as the TT e/s (I just quickly looked at the AU website...$40AUD, so I guess that'll work out somewhere around $46 for you poor guys over there?). I have no idea how much the lippies will be I usually just double the American price and guess it'll be about $5-10 more expensive than that.

Also, I just saved HerGreyness's economy lesson as a word document lol! Hopefully it will help me stay strong when trying to save this year! ;)

I've decided to spend only $100 on both the Peacocky and Mickey Contractor collections. Looking at the collections it seems almost impossible but I'm going to find a way to make it happen. I too have a drawer full of products that are still in the box. And even more products that I've only used once or twice. Considering how often Mac drops new collections, unless you're a makeup artist or serious collector, getting caught up in the hype will definetly lead to financial ruin. Even other higher end brands regularly launch new collections with the seasons. The Madness has to stop somewhere. Being a makeup newbie I'm making sure to harness myself now before it gets outta hand.

I have decided to be very smart with my makeup buying in the New Year. My collection is ridiculously large and I don't even wear makeup on an everyday basis. I have stuff unopened that dates back to "To The Beach"...the madness has to stop somewhere! Therefore, I am limiting my MAC hauls to under $100 per collection...only the most unique items or the ones I will use will come home with me.

I'm trying hard to get my list down lol.

I've been through some of my stash today, and found myself wondering if "Helium" or "If It Sparkles" might be possible dupes for "Top Of The Posh"? Is anyone able to compare for me, please?

You're not alone, I believe that i'll be getting just 2 items, 3 at a push myself.

Although LovePeck isn't what I was expecting, I definitely will get it and Noir Plum.

Off Topic slightly, has anybody tried NYX Soft Matte Lip Cremes?? The product sounds a lot like Kissable Lip Color.

i dont doubt that some of these shadows have an awesome formula, but none of the colours would be unique to my collection, i already have stuff like every item in this collection
