OUI - Ordering Under the Influence. Well enjoy your goodies!

So, then...
Went to dinner with husband and daughter. Had a few dirty martinis. All my good intentions went flying out the window.
3 orders later.. I ended up with 5 more shadows and 3 more lippies.

(and Calm Mode dammit)
I am going to make a sign that says, "if you have had even one drink, step away from maccosmetics.com RIGHT NOW! , one for each computer, and lock the mac site from my phone or something. No more shopping for 2 months. This will be painful.

Yesterday I went to the mall and ended up with only Mating Call e/s since Odalisque was sold out at my Dillard's counter and also my stuff that I had on hold was gone! I'm going to order Odalisque online.
Oh no!!!! Grrrrrr - I'm so upset for you! Let me at 'em ...

I really wish these lip colours were perm too! I adore the formula on these! (Wish the shadows were perm as well the pigmentation is out of this world!)

It was recently suggested to me that the MATTE mixing medium works great as a eyeshadow primer. Not the matte gel texture but the actual mixing medium. Like you said its trial and error thing to find out what really works for you.
Everyone is different as to what works for them as a primer. Being that I have older, dry lids, I can't use UDPP as the formula tightens when it dries so, on my lids, it makes them look crepier(sp.) than they are. Found the Nars formula too mattifying in texture making it hard to blend e/s smoothly. I use pp, Lorac in winter & CS for summer as all work well & are economical; hate to spend a lot of money for very little product because I'm buying the designer name. Just tried Benefit's Stay Don't Stray at Sephora & I think this will also make a good summer one for me. It's very similar to High Voltage Eye Primer by Diane von Kat, but has a little more moisturer & it has over double the quantity for only $3 more.

In summer I apply pigments wet, but in winter when my lids are dry, I just pat dry pigment over MAC Gloss; a gel for anywhere on the body.

I assume for oily lids any facial mattifier would dry out the lid, but be careful when using the matte mixing medium or any product that is alcohol based as you don't want it running into your eyes.!

Elegant, I think i need a better base, however I like to judge eyeshadows without a base...

Anyway....SOY.... UM most gorgeous eyeshadow ever. To me, Spectacle, Dandizette, Dalliance and Center Stage are the stand outs of this collection
Well I LOVE SOY!!!!! It really made my hazel eyes pop. I may get Prance today because the color is so pretty - subtle though.

The MA at the counter yesterday had a gorgeous, gorgeous look on. It was using Dandizette, a combination of two midtone browns that I forget now, and paparazz-she.
In essence it was med. brown in inner third of eye, both lid and lower lashline, and blue (Dandizette) on outer third and into crease, and lower lash line, and a bit of paparazz-she in crease, and accent the mid brown. She also used moon's reflection right in the center of the lid. The combo of colors was one of the prettiest blue and brown combos I've seen.

I kept commenting on how beautiful it was, and she showed me the face chart. I wish I had looked longer at it and had looked at the other Peacocky face charts. This face chart that she pulled her eye combo from was called "Paparazz-she". Has anyone seen the dang face charts? Am I blind and just can't find them?

Ok so I pulled the trigger on SOY and Unflappable. The jury is out on Prance. Elegant, please post a review when you get this one.

If your having trouble with the texture of any of the shadows, try using them wet, that's where unflappable, odalisque, dalliance really shine.

It seems like everyone is different with primers and you just have to experiment to find what works for you. TFSI and UDPP both make my shadows crease worse and UDPP actually forms crystals in my crease.

If these shadows don't work over my paintpots or Laura Mercier eye basics then they'll have to look pretty special for me to consider keeping them. I do have the NARS and LORAC primers but I don't like having to work to hard to make a product work.

Anyway, I hit up MAC Thrusday evening after work. I tried on a couple lip colours but nothing grabbed me. I really don't like a sponge tip for something so opaque. I kept on Strut Your Stuff after I left the store and it started to feel dry but it still looked good a couple of hours later. Interesting formula but not for me right now.

Based on swatches, I had been planning to get Prance and then either Centre Stage or Unflappable. Prance is gorgeous and very wearable while still being a little special so that was an easy choice. Unflappable disappointed me in person. It just looked grey and it blended nicely texture-wise but the resulting colour was muddy and flat. I didn't see any hint of purple on my skin. Centre Stage was lovely - not special but a great colour. I didn't buy it though because it's neighbour Spectacle of Yourself lifted up it's tail feathers and strutted around until I bought it instead. The texture just seemed better than the others and it's very metallic.

The staff at the store are getting fed up with the endless collections and they weren't hiding it. My SA had no idea what any of the colours in this collection were called.
Very interesting!

I also feel the same as you regarding having to work so hard to put on an eyeshadow. It should just go on and stay on!

I just got back from the f/s and I ended up with more then planned. I was only going to get Papparizz-she and Sexpectations and that was it. Well......I ended up with instead Paparazzi-She, Tweet-Me, Noir Plum then Mineralize skinfinish in med/dark for contouring, Mocha blush and Stars & rockets for my B2M. I compared Stars&Rockets to Mating Call and I thought S&R was more pigmented and warmer in tone so I chose that. I just can't pull off cool tones at all and look so sickly :(. I had crossed Noir Plum off my list when I saw it was similar to other things but when I swatched it I didnt think it was like anything I have including Push the Edge. Like everyone else has said these shadows are super pigmented so I was happy to see that.

I got compliments from the ladies working there on my makeup which was a nice moral booster :D. I wore Golden Olive pigment on my lid with Fashion Groupie on the crease and corner then Vapour on the brow with Golden Olive then lining the inner 1/3 & corner of my eye with UD's Lust on the rest of the bottom lid....and blacktrack winged out. The one m/a actually thought I had my makeup done there :D. I told her I considered that a great compliment coming from her. She asked what I used because she wanted to copy it. Having said I wore Fashion Groupie btw and T says it's close to Mating Call I'd have to say that it isnt true on me at all. It was far pinker and lighter on me.

I really liked Odalisque but I have so many teals/turquoises that I really didnt think I needed any more. Dandizette is again too cool toned for me so I had to pass on it even though it looked pretty in the pot. The m/a that helped me told me that the most popular of the e/s was Noir Plum and it was selling fast.

Oh and one more thing while I was there they told me they were having a Wonder Woman party Feb 1st so I signed up. Only thing is I work nights and will have to try and get back to the station from my route in time. Lately I've been getting back at 8 so I figured an 8:30 time would be good.....now watch that day I have a ton of on calls and wont get back in time. The mall is only 15 minutes from there so I'm hoping I can make it.

I had wanted to check out Woo Me in person so I went to the mall today. All 3 counters I went to were sold out of it & it was the only Kissable color each was out of. I have to assume its really nice IRL since it was sold out everywhere, so I ran home & ordered it online, hopefully I'll love it when it arrives

Ok guys, I went in and saw the lipsticks in person as I never buy lip products sight unseen. I looooved the lipsticks even more than the eyeshadows actually. I really want more of these but as of now I got four of them.

- Woo Me: ok this is the perfect nude and it goes on sooo opaque on my lips. My lips are pretty red naturally and this still covers them. Woo Me is gonna replace Blankety and Myth as my go to nude lipstick.

- Vanity Fair: this is warmer than St Germain and Snob but cooler and lighter than Pink Nouveau. Reminds me a bit of my beloved Nars Roman Holiday l/s. Great easy pink on my skintone, very ladylike and very pretty.

- Exxxhibionist: So I love all things coral and had to get this one. It's lighter and less bright than the sea of other coral lipticks in my stash.I'm gonna wear it to the bottom I think.

- Love Peck - This one is my fave but I do love me some vampy shades and can never have enough. This is very similar to MUFE #48 but longer lasting.

And here's a picture of me wearing Love Peck. Sorry for the tired eyes they're still recovering from LASIK. So no eye-makeup, just F&B (in shade N2) and Nars Sin on the cheeks:

This collection is killing me! I want it all! I am loving all the swatches and looks everyone is posting but it will cost an absolute fortune over here in Australia so I am trying to figure out what to order via my friend in the States. The worst thing is, it won't be available over here in Australia until next month so i won't be able to see it in person so I really am just going off everyone's reviews and swatches. At the moment I am thinking Dalliance, Prance, Centre Stage and Unflappable. Do you think these are good picks for a blue eyed, blonde NW20? I also want some of the lip colours but I really think I need to see them in person as I can never imagine what colours will look good on my lips.

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone know how Center Stage compares to Chocolate Brown pigment or any other brown perm. shades?

I love Dandizette and Spectacle of Yourself together. Really love. I can see this as a combo I may have to try not to use to often.
I used a little Dalliance in the very inner lid. But SOY reflects light so beautifully. Soy on inner half of lid, Dandizette outer half of lid. And used Modelette to blend on uppercrease. LOVE.
I used UD Lucky to line lower lashline, inner half, and set with SOY, and UD Binge lower outer lashline set with Dandizette.

Shadowylady. Love Peck is perfect with your skin and hair color. Beautiful

I've decided to get Strut Your Stuff. I was made to wear colors like that, it's what I always go for so why fight it now?
