oh gosh. i am falling for this collection BIG TIME. ironically when details were released i was adamant it would be a total skip and that i would haul cham pale and stylishly yours instead, but nope... not a thing from SY and only IGNK eye kohl from cham pale, whilst i have ended up with multiple hauls from peacocky!
sooo in addition to my initial haul, i ordered centre stage, tweet me, dalliance, love peck, and a back up of woo me from debenhams because of the 10% off code, woo! that was on thursday night. then friday i went to london & had to go to knightsbridge to go to space nk anyway, so i stopped by a mac counter just so i could swatch the other shadows and also so i could swatch dalliance and love peck because i wasn't sure about them and wanted to check them out so i could return them unused if i needed to. omg, i LOVE love peck and i cannot wait for it to get here! i nearly bought it again there and then at the counter, it was that fab. i'm super pale with dark blonde hair so i thought it would look a bit odd, but i got the MA to apply it and wore it out for the day. i got some odd looks
but i love it <3 i was at the counter at... 3pm? and i touched it up again at another counter at 6.30pm or so because the MA had applied it a little unevenly on my top lip, but it lasted amazingly. once the glossy feeling wore off, it kinda turned into a lipstain and this lasted all through the night (through a meal & drinks). as a stain, it was still there at midnight, and i actually forgot i was wearing anything on my lips so didn't take it off, and it's faded a LOT but still a visible tint at 2pm the next day!! crikey.
anyway, at the counter i checked out all the shadows i had yet to buy/receive and i am SO glad i did. i ended up picking up noir plum (which i'd ruled out on swatches as i prefer my purples a bit lighter... not a fan of plummy shades) which was pretty much my dream purple on my skin; ego, which i had been eyeing up since swatches were first released but decided against as i'd picked up oomph from MC and felt buyers' guilt about; and top of the posh, which i had thought was a very... blah? colour in swatches, but is a beauuutiful pink that will work really well for neutral and work-appropriate looks imo. swatching was SUCH a good idea as i had been liking unflappable from others' pictures but it swatched awfully on my skin (disliked the texture, wasn't as blendable as the other shades, came out as a flat charcoal grey on me). i had been considering dandizette as i have urban decay goddess and LOVE packing it on for a dramatic glittery deep blue eye... but dandizette was so blah in comparison - another definite skip, thankfully! i really didn't like how centre stage swatched though, so i'm in two minds about returning that when it gets here, and i don't really get the dalliance hype so i'll probably return that... but it was so soft and smooth. beautiful texture.
i definitely want to back up prance though - it's so beautiful and it works really well as an all over lid colour on me... i reckon this could be an everyday staple
i picked up NP yesterday (oh dear!! this is my THIRD haul now from peacocky!) and i love love LOVE it, so i'm def going to try mating call with it, thanks jen
