MAC Pink 4 Friday Discussion

This reminds me of Viva Glam Gaga...not so much that the color is the same but that it is a very un-flattering pink color. Just like Gaga, I see alot of people buying it because of the hype or b/c it is limited edition even thought it probably won't look good on them. Just being honest...this looks like a hard color to wear AND have it be flattering on.

I agree with this, but I'm still going to buy it and try to make it work since it seems like my perfect mix of Lavender Whip and VG Gaga. Not keeping my hopes up, though, as to how it will look on.

But, I don't even like Nicki Minaj or anything so it's not for the hype for me.

Or maybe the company needs to communicate with all 40,000 or so employees via e-mail or text or twitter whatever?

You've given me an idea. I'm going to go home and try these two shades on together to see if it works at all on me. It should at least give me an idea of what I'm in for. Shades like Gaga, LW and my ongoing love-hate l/s, Blooming Lovely, are tricky to wear, but there's always a sense of satisfaction when I get them to work. That said, I don't know how many problem children I need in my collection.

I bought Gaga because I needed a pale pink, but it's alot of work to make it look decent. And it make me realize that these milky lipsticks do nothing good for my skintone, so like LMD84 said, I could do without the powdery pink lipstick...

I really expected a bright pink lippie and this is just so shockingly disappointing...

I think this lipstick looks different every time I see it. Here it looks quite pink, without the blue tinge that I could see on the Temptalia photos (although her skin tone is definitely on the warm side, so you might expect the blue tones to be more pronounced).

One of my local stores has a few tubes of St. Germain left. I never did try that colour, but maybe I should just get that one instead. Or forget about getting a bright blue-pink and save my money for other things...

Ok, I feel like I am losing my mind at this point, because I really can't decide if I need this or not, and am going back and forth. Anyone else feel this way? As I said previously, I have Snob, Saint Germain, VG Gaga, and Of Royalty. KarlaSugar's swatches are swaying me to think that it just might be different enough from them. Any opinions?

(And I totally agree with katred, this lipstick looks different every time I see it too, which is what is making this so difficult!)

I really wish this was available in store, so I could see it for myself.

did this already sell out for this friday? i had it in my cart, and while i was picking out other things to get free shipping, it disappeared, and now i can't add it anymore.

probably for the best, as it looks similar to snob and gaga from swatches i've seen, and i have both of those and can't pull off either to save my life!

I think the shade really works on her.
