MAC Playland Collection - April 7, 2014

I keep telling myself I'm only interested in Toying Around from this collection, since I probably already have lippies that are similar colors to the others.  But somewhere deep down, I just know I'm going to cave and get more because the AC finish is my favorite, and I haven't gotten a new AC lippie in quite some time.  Question to my fellow specktrettes: If these lipsticks do end up being nearly identical in color to ones I already have (most likely matte ones I already have, based on the color descriptions), is it worth getting them so that I can have them in a more desirable finish???

So far Im interested in Red Balloon & Toying Around lipsticks and Pure Silliness and Lots of Laughs lipglasses. I don't own any AC finishes, excited about this!

THIS! I also love amplifieds. I hope MAC will come out with more of these finishes with funkier colors this year.

You know, I was even thinking "I wonder what team low buy would say about this"...even though I haven't officially joined. But now that even a TLB member has given me the green light, I feel even better about going for all the ACs!!

I love the amplified creme formula! As much as I love my mattes, the change is going to be a welcome one. So far I only have these on my list:
Red Balloon Hot Fuchsia (Amplified Creme)
Happy Go-Lucky Hot Pink (Amplified Creme)
Toying Around Hot Coral Pink (Amplified Creme)
Sweet Experience Bright Pink (Amplified Creme)
and
Ever So Yellow Soft yellow with pearl

Geez imagine that... people on Specktra are figuring out they don't (dare we say it?) "NEED" every item from every new collection!!!??? I have a feeling that within the next few months our family is going to grow... I'm expecting at least quadruplets in March! HeeHee

i find that usually the product that is sync'd with the collection name is almost inevitably the stand out. I am on team All the Lippies!!! At first i was thinking i dont need another bright pink or fuchsia but that same logic led to me skipping CYY on the original launch and regretting majorly. So now i dont ever assume i have dupes until swatches confirm. I think CYY was where i fully came to appreciate the meaning of skippers remorse. Of course MAC eventually made it perm but not after much grief and hunting hi & lo on my part. Am i the only one wishing that one of the pinks had been the frost instead of the red? Esp. since we got a red frost with vgrr.

I skipped Heroine so i feel ur pain!!! And Pink Pigeon and Betty Bright and Party Parrot. i finally just came to own them all. but i kicked myself so hard for that!!! So yeah im buying all of them if i want when i see them haha. And now Playland is on the list. I have that paranoia also, i skipped a few really awesome things and still regret it! figure i can return it or sell it if i was wrong in thinking i wanted it so badly. I did return Sakura blush from quit cute tho and i hate myself for that now ugh im a idiot

HeeHee... we would say get what makes YOU happy! It's a no-pressure, no guilt, no shame kinda place we have there! BUT we will give you helpful advice and some honest feedback if you ask for it... That's our mission... Helping each other enjoy our purchases more by not overwhelming ourselves with huge hauls full of dupeable products, but rather put a little more thought into our buys... that's all. Come take a peek! We don't bite! Believe it or not elegant even stops by for a visit now and then!

I agree with PixieDancer (I feel like I say this soo much lol! but I do!), it's definitely a place where you can take a deep breath and really think about and talk through things in a supportive, non-judgmental, pressure-free environment. Everyone is welcome! If you see us being harsh with each other in the collections threads it's only because we have either asked for it or gotten to know each others' personalities enough to know that it won't be taken too seriously.

What? We don't "NEED" every item from every new collection?? That's borderline revolutionary! Those lustres in FoF almost got me I must admit.. but I overcame. Not out of the woods yet though, have to wait and see what my actual order is.. I'm confident that I can stick to 1 item though!

Oh wow. I don't think I could carry this look off, but I do like the gold lippie. I am still eyeing most of these, especially the AC ones. I am still praying for MAC to release Lust at some point. I could really use something different in my lipstick family.
