I'm trying to decide if I "need" that one, since I already have Shore Leave, Sugarshot, Shroom, Solar White, etc.
Similarly, I'm debating whether or not to go for Prepped for Glamour, since I already have a lot of taupes/dirty browns.
I guess I'm paranoid since the Style Snob fiasco.
When Style Snob came out with Love That Look, I thought, "I don't need another taupish color," so I passed it up.
Later, I found out that it was gorgeous, fabulous, and unique, and was fortunate to score one on eBay for an only slightly inflated price, but I'd have preferred to do the retail price, backups thing. But I waited too long.

^The first thing my MA said to me about Style Snob was that it was Satin Taupe. I didn't get it the more I swatched it. I am planning on getting Hey, even if it could be similar to Shroom.

I saw the collection today when I had to swap out a liner they gave me incorrectly and I wasnt that impressed. What do you think the first thing the MUA said to me when she walked over to the display.....Prepped for Glamour is almost like Satin Taupe

I'm trying to streamline my collection, and I personally find that if a shadow is not unique among my "arsenal," I don't use it much. I'm trying to limit myself to fewer shades, that get more use.
BTW, I must respectfully disagree with your MA about Style Snob.
I own both Style Snob and satin Taupe, and I find them to be very different from each other.
Back to Prep for Colour: Anybody know if Prepped for Glamor is similar to French Grey, and/or Clue?

Oh, well ...
If Prepped for Glamour is like Satin Taupe, and Style Snob was also supposed to be like Satin Taupe, but I found style Snob to be unique, maybe I should jump on Prepped for Glamour, and future shades that are described as "just like Satin Taupe."
I'm so confused!

I think that maybe Style Snob was different enough thanks to the starflash formula, that that's what makes it stand out.

If someone could swatch the two it would help
greengrin.gif
. If I'd thought of it when I was there I could've swatched Satin Taupe and Prepped. I don't have any of those 3 so I can't help out
ssad.gif
.

Edit I see Temptalia has a swatch of the two. Looks pretty close. Prepped for Glamour (left) / Satin Taupe (right)

Karlas comparison swatches are in the swatch thread. And I've posted them here once a while ago and again linked to them, like yesterday.

Prepped for Glamour is nothing like French Grey or Clue - it is 'similar' to Satin Taupe, but on me it's lighter than ST, and definitely has a pinker cast to it -

I also picked up the serum to try. And Sorcery.....LOVE!!! I did not get Hey as I have it from whatever collection had it before......

The bad part about that sentence is that you said "almost"
lol.gif

I don't have Satin Taupe yet but I do have and love Style Snob. Probably my fav eyeshadow!
Yes I saw the comparison swatch on temptalia but still

ANOTHER thing that is getting me is that Karla said it's "possibly slightly less purple" than Satin Taupe....again, I dont have ST, but Style Snob has looked purple on me as stated by 2-3 people. *sigh*

I disagree the Style Snob is like Satin Taupe because SS has a decidedly purple tinge to it on me, even a hint of pink, all on it's own. Satin Taupe is straight up dark brown-taupe on me. It leans purple only if I wear purples with it. Again, this is just on me...SS and ST are those kinds of colors that the shade varies from person to person.

That being said, I decided to be a good girl today, and did not go to check out Prep for Colour. I'm making an effort to be smart about money, and it is a rather long drive out there. I will check this out when I go for Pret A Papier because then I can really make an informed decision about my shadow choices.

I wore it today with Trax. I have the Devil May Dare palette which as you prob know has it in it. I also have Hazel that leans more blue then green and I like it on me as well. However I have noticed a problem with Trax in that it seems to be blotchy where in some spots I cant see the gold duo to it and it's actually a lavendar color rather then plum if that makes any sense. I used a pale pink paint as a base and it did that to me another day when I used a base. However it seems that the other time I only used primer I didnt get that blotchy look. Has anyone else had that problem.

cno64 to end your suffering you should just get Prepped

Still skipping right by this collection. While I wait for Pret-A-Papier, I'll get a few permanent items I've been wanting.

Yes, this is one of THOSE colors! I have the same good luck with Beautyburst from Barbie. I absolutely LOVE that color, and wish I had gotten a backup of it.

I love this time of year!!!!

I am not a big fan of Trax - I have the same issue - I can't get it to lay down evenly.

Wowza! That sounds hot! I was thinking of putting it over Charred Mauve to see how that does........maybe with a little Winter Sky?

My other 'fave' in this color category is MUFE #79 - it is absolutely gorgeous!
