I'm totally guessing, but I use a Chanel very slightly tinted lavender SPF base that is used to brighten, correct for darkness/overpigmentation (it's called "lys" in the Chanel base line/asia exclusive). It sounds weird, but it does even out my skin immensely. I could nearly skip foundation. But the Chanel Lys is much, MUCH softer in its lavender tone than these promo pics from MAC. So I can use the chanel lys all over my face, get the SPF sun protection, dust it with a little bit of my skin-toned powder and I'm good to go.Could someone explain how they would use the lavender loose and compact? Just curious?
With these, I'm not sure. Because MAC lists "lavender" as the illuminating one, this lavender might have a similar impact--brightening. I remember erine1881 stating that these powders were only supposed to be used where needed (I think she said not all over, but I'd have to go back and check the Early Buzz thread). So, I'm really not sure. I think booking an appt with an SA is going to be my strategy as well, because I don't want to over-use these or have them look weird.
