At first, I was going to get Truth and Light and then I decided not to get either one. Now, you've got me thinking. I am so easily persuaded.

If you love a super smooth, shiney mega sheen - runway style level - then as HG says, you will go bananas for the magically cool powder! If you only want a gentle subtle sheen, you still might be able to resist them.

no, the feeling of water/cool on the face is not a pain, it feels wet but it is not wet-- It just needs to be buffed with a 187 brush and it will be a perfect finish. I don't use a setting powder when I use this powder cause it would dim the sheen which is what I want when I use it

don't worry.. ask away

I get a great subtle sheen for daytime if I buff this with lots of love and care

if I were doing it for a night out, I would buff but leave it with more sheen -- oh yeah!

Does any one know how "camera friendly" this foundation is? I am looking like caspar in all my pictures lately and want a nice foundation that makes me look human

^^I think it's very camera friendly. I look completely natural in my pics. No casper here, not even with the flash on.

I think it is camera friendly as it's spf is 10 which is low enough for camera work.. I have photo'd it on and it did not give an eerie white cast

Hey, may I ask what shades you are in other foundations?

I really want to try this foundation and concealer but I can't get to a counter.. I am pale with pink undertones and don't know whether to go for the NC15 or NW20

not sure about which of the concealers to go for either, although it sounds from what the ladies here have said that going for the NW20 will cover dark circles better?

Input from anyone would be so appreciated!
I currently use Nars SG in mont blanc (a pretty good match for me but may be slightly too light)

I am the same - very pale with pink undertones

I always wear whatever is the palest shade in any line. BE Mutli-tasking in Bisque

I normally wear NW15 in concealer & foundation, but since this foundation did not come in the usually NW15 I got it in the NC15 & its perfect! the NW20 was too orangey/dark for me.
The concealer in this in the NW15 is also perfect. The MA told me

for the NW20 for the concealer, so I didn't even get a sample of the darker shade.

Hope it will work for you too

I finally washed my face and I am happy to report absolutely no irritation! That tingling feeling I thought I had from the studio finish concealer was all in my mind. It completely stopped shortly after I thought I could feel something bad coming on. I'm so happy! I still want to give the PL concealer a try, though!

. I try to keep it short as possible, but when it comes to my loves (make up, music, movies) I have to tell a story.

So glad its working out for you!!!! It is a great foundation!

I went back for a sample of NW45. Giving it a try because when I first tested it, it didn't go all red/orange on me like other MAC formulas. Tomorrow morning, with my fresh, clean morning face. I will give it another go. I still like the coloring of Mat Velvet #80 a bit better though. NW50 ran a little grey on me, much to my surprise so I didn't get a sample. When its all said and done, I'm thinking I'll end up using both products, especially when I am really doing it up and going out. ProLW and Mat Velvet are just the bomb! Its just good to have 2 options when it comes down to it.

I'm really impressed with the Prolongwear Foundation so far. I got the shade NC35 and the shade is not any different from the Studio fix. The pump is the same as the mineralize satinfinish foundation. The foundation is not as thick as Studio fix. It feels lightweight on my face and gives a medium, but buildable coverage. I personally don't use brushes to apply my foundation, I like to use my fingers. So, I can't tell you what kind of brush would work best, but I imagine the MAC 130 brush would work amazing. It has a matte finish, and I was very happy with how natural it looked!

As for the wear I am blown away!!! I wore this foundation for a solid 12 hours, and let me tell you, I only blotted once (which was after 6 hours and I really didn't even have to blot, I only used one blotting sheet for my entire face, when I normally use about 2 or 3!!), and the foundation still looked amazing! I'm really loving this foundation, I may have found my holy grail foundation =D

Yup, it's always great to have more than one option. I've got mufe hd, face and body and now PLW. Finally, I have a Mac foundation!

Shontay, thanks for the detailed review. I'm now really interested in this foundation. I still want to wait a few weeks before going and getting it. Like I said before I hate being matched when I have a left over summer tan and then end up with a foundation that's too dark. It seems like this foundation also photographs well which is also important to me. I hate looking white in pics coz of high SPF!

Oh, my 29th b-day is also fast approaching, damn it! when is urs?
