I had an appointment today at my MAC counter to try out the new prolongwear line after work. The MUA used the foundation, concealer and lipcreme on me.
She sprayed my face with FIX+, put on a little bit of studio moisture fix and then the foundation in NC20. I don't ever wear foundation, usually just a little bit of concealer or nothing at all, so normally any foundation feels really heavy to me... but this feels very light, smooth and natural! It just evens my skintone out nicely but without feeling cakey or thick. The concealer is also great, it really did the trick covering up my dark circles and a few blemishes. She applied the make-up a little over six hours ago and since then I've walked around outside in the sun, gone for dinner, gone to a movie, and it still looks freshly applied. No oily spots or fading or oxidization. So it definitely is long-wearing and doesn't transfer!
The lipcremes are also great, although they definitely do transfer. They aren't overly drying and the pigmentation is great, they go on very smoothly. She used the combo of Beet lip pencil and Perpetual Flame lipcreme on me but sadly it did not survive my coffee or dinner. I don't mind that though, I'm used to reapplying lip products because I drink a lot of coffee/water. I do like that it fades to a nice natural, rosy stain without settling into lines though.
I picked up the concealer, a sample of foundation just to make sure it was the right color, as well as Prolong and Perpetual Flame lipcremes. I wanted one of the other lipcremes but they were sold out so I'll be going back for it. My friend took pictures and when he sends them to me, I'll post them if anyone's curious.
