Thanks for the hints. It wasn't clear to me that some of these were LE, or i'd have jumped on FOD sooner. When i was on Nordstrom's site earlier today, FOD was nowhere to be seen

Liba, my skin tone is neutral, between 15 & 20, but i have a personal weak spot for violets and purples. Thanks for being so... uh... supportive

Other than rosacea pink cheeks, some dark spots along my jaw line, and crepey spots on my eyelids, my face is mostly unwrinkled, and my skin care keeps it looking kinda dewy, plus i use a moisturizing foundation when i wear one. I have Dominate, which is bluer than FOD, so i'm a fan - and i'm hoping TTT will be similar to FOD, assuming it isn't impossible to get, given all the RiRi collection drama...

I know my skin is great for my age and attitude will take anyone above and beyond the date on the calendar, but these retro mattes are demanding. When they work, it's ravishing

but I'm pretty sure we all have days where a little extra fairy dust, in the form of a formula that augments the fullness and curves of the lips more than ultra flat matte does, comes in pretty handy! 'Can't fool all of 'em all the time, but I'm down for a little slight of hand whenever I can get away with it - I'd be lying if I told you otherwise

. Cruella de Vil can really wear red! (which i can't) And, yeah, mattes can really drain the life out of a face that is already looking, well, less than fully youthful.

I was in my local MAC a few years ago, and a woman came in who i guess was close to my age, but looking every day of it (genetics has a lot to do with it). Her skin looked sallow, and she was wearing a matte brick red lipstick - probably what she was wearing 15 or 20 years ago - which really did nothing for her. It just made her look more drained of vitality. And she was, of course, asking for yet another tube. I think i walked by her and muttered under my breath about trying something more moist looking and not so brown. Don't know what she ended up with. I know, i know, i'm Ms. Walgreen's, but she really needed a new lip color.

It's easy for some women to fall into a rut with their makeup. I don't mean that everyone needs to follow every new trend or collection. But it's good to try something different for a change. My mom wore pretty much the same coral lipstick for 45 years, but it was actually a flattering color for her. Of course, i think i'm preaching to the choir here, since most of us are ready for the next collection

And pass me that bag of fairy dust!

I love Dangerous and AFU. I received AFU yesterday and love it.

afu is a great looking one I will add it to my collection to it does look so pretty I should of gotta that one instead of fof don't get me wrong fof is a pretty color just nothing really specail about it.

I was bragging about the FOD/Vino combo in the Riri thread and didn't realize I was going on and on in the wrong thread. lol I tried the combo just now and it is GREAT! Love the way it looks. Like I said, never would have thought to put those two items together.
