I gotta stop forgetting to check swatch threads! I think Ghost Town and Sleepless look pretty good. I think I'll be getting those and the n/ps.

I love mauvement pigment. It is one of my first CCO buys, but is very unique to me b/c it it a plummy taupe with red and gold sparkles, at least mine's is. Kitschmas is the most chunkiest mess of a pigment ever.

Just the blush and maybe Badlands for me, I think I just want the packaging; pathetic right?

yeah mauvement is a great pigment

but very close to sweet sienna so if you have that already just use a purple base and you'll have mauvement too!

That's interesting, because I don't think they're alike at all. I think Mauvement is a little chunkier than Sweet Sienna, and they're toooootally different when foiled. But, it could just be me. :p

You're right, Sweet Sienna is wayyy smoother and more full on taupey but I do see the similiarities between the two. I love both.

This gets me to thinking they should bring back Subtle pigment, that thing would sell out, I think, but who knows.

As of right now this is a total pass for me. Who knows what may happen once I actually hold the products and swatch but nothing it jumping out at me ATM.

After reading the comments on Temptalia and reading up on Juarez. I must say this collection is in bad taste, and some of these names are tacky as hell. Not sure if this is MACs way of being politcal or just an attention grabbing tactic
IDK IDK even with them saying what they did in the article above, doens't seem right.

I do have to say I feel a little creeped out now that I know the background of some of the product names. At first I just thought they were named after a non-descript wild west town. Now I just can't see myself getting products named "Sleepwalker", "Factory" and "Juarez", because any time I would wear them I'd be reminded of some poor overworked zombie woman in a sweat shop. It's depressing for sure. I will maybe get some of the more neutral-named products though- like White Gold pigment!

And sorry but the idea of Rodarte being inspired by factory women in the most violent city in the world kinda reminds me of Derelichte from Zoolander...just really weird.

Im not too keen on the collection name at all, but product wise this is the most exciting collection this year for me! I just wish VV, FF and this weren't all out at the same time!!!

I do NEED the BP though. I don't love really pigmented powders and the colour looks like totally unique in my collection

I might go for the minty NP just cause it is pretty. Ghost Town sounds very interesting, but it would have to be quite pigmented to actually get me to buy it, as I have a feeling this could look similar on the lips to bubbles (which I already have). I am liking the swatch of sleewalker but will have to see some lip swatches before I make up my mind :p

The beige MES sounds pretty, as does badlands, but I think it will have to be one or the other for me because of VV and FF

I think I will be passing on this collection, because I feel like MAC is trying to take an "edgy/artistic" twist on something much too serious.
Rodarte's "ghost-like" fashion shows inspired by Juarez rubbed me the wrong way as well.
If they're trying to raise awareness for Juarez, they'd do better to donate money to families of victims, or start a foundation.
This just seems like an attempt at shock value, and an attempt to capitalize on tragedy. Would they make a Columbine collection? Probably not.
There are a couple of really cool pieces in this collection in my opinion. I might have picked up White Gold, the gorgeous pastel lipglass, or one of the eyeshadows. But this whole thing rubbed me the wrong way.

they should be donating the profits from this collection to some kind of program or charity. like a Viva Glam thing. If that were the case, I'd buy up the whole thing. I'm pretty close to the border and I see people who are affected and hurt by the issues in Juarez. Seriously, I would even be willing to skip VV if this was for donation.

I like the model in the promo pic. Ha. Not that I'd walk around like that...

I don't really know how I feel about this collection as far as appropriateness goes but I'm still interested in a couple of the products. After seeing that photo, the bp looks nice... And I don't own any bps.
