I fell in love with One to Watch too when I swatched it this weekend, so I'll be ordering it. Does it give much color on?

It gives me a nice amount of color, so I think it'll be perfect for you. It has this interesting rosy hue to it that I think is so flattering. You can build it by patting. I think applying in two layers gives me a good look.

i wasn't saying mac should put them back on sale, but to trash them just like that is such a waste... at least they could be used as testers

PIC ON LEFT: Twillery (L), Sweet Satisfaction (R). PIC ON RT: Twillery, Sweet Satisfaction, Coco pigment, Gold Mode Pigment

Someone asked for comparisons of Twillery and Sweet Satisfction like a week ago, sorry it took me so long! They are similar in certain lights, but in others SS is MUCH more golden whereas Twillery is cooler, a touch pinker, and more reflective. HTH!

Unfortunately, that's not really an option. As gross as testers can get, MAC does their best to keep things sanitary. There's simply no way of knowing what was done to the product, outside of swatching it. People definitely do weird things if they think they can get away with it.

FYI, don't ever use a hotel coffee maker...

i really hope that's what they do, otherwise it just makes me sick thinking of so many products that are brand new or barely used going to waste

I was in a Macy's once when someone returned a bunch of stuff. The SA told the other SA to take the old brush out of her belt and swap with a new one sine they looked brand spankin new.

hmmm...interesting

I wonder if any SAs took home returned items for themselves? or do they have to ship the returned items back to MAC for disposal?

no hun, ive had a sale for two weeks and got 0 replies/interests... recycle bins are not very effective.
and about selling in europe...thats a pain. I dont have the time or the car to go ship stuff to the P.O.
Aww that sux. You can always put it on the clearance bin and get some of that money back. Just a thought =)

I've had the USPS lose my packages a few times.

It's a pain to sell stuff online because what happens if the package gets lost on the way to its destination? Does the seller give the buyer a refund?
The only way to get money back from the USPS is buying insurance. What if the buyer didn't choose to buy insurance? Should the seller still give the buyer a refund?

Selling online is too messy, so that's why people usually return stuff to the store whenever they can.

i assumed they were thrown away in the rubbish - i even recall a member saying they were given the wrong item and when they went to get the correct one a few hours later the wrong was was 'disposed of' because they can't guarentee it wasn't used.

I wore Styledriven shadow today with Carbonized in the crease. I have to say it's gorgeous on and a dream to work with. So soft, but pigmented. I got compliments from the girls in my class. Hell, even my closest friend in class told me it looked great and she's one of those WOC who thinks WOC should only stick to neutral makeup. That's another story for another day, though.

I bet it looked lovely! Sounds like a great combo, that's for sure

I ended up picking up What A Blast! (the orange lip pencil) this weekend. Those of you who are friends with Morange know that she likes to get all over your face after a couple hours. For some reason, that lipstick is the messiest one I have! Anyway, I tried the pencil two ways. I filled in my whole lip at first. I found it a bit difficult to get an even finish. The pencil was picking up bits of dry skin I didn't even know I had. It really pops Morange, but I like to wear it a little blotted/sheered out so I don't scare people. Also, after a few minutes the pencil must have dried more and my lips got super wrinkly. I might try this again later on once I get more used to the texture of this product. I think a lighter hand with it and more attention to its drydown would probably improve the results.

On my second go, I just lined the outside without filling in and I found this to be very satisfactory -- I was able to wear Morange for hours without feathering or a big smeary mess if I ate/drank something. I had to top up more than if I'd filled in the whole lip, but it was still much improved on the wear time for Morange by itself. I might stick to the regular lip liners in future (they work well for me, are easier to get right, and are cheaper), but if you like your orange lipsticks it's a good addition to your stash.

I have been playing around with Whoops, and I really like it. Yes it does apply like a ball of goop if you are not careful. Warming it up, blotting it down, etc. seems to make all of the difference in the world.

I also bought one of the pro longwear cremes, and this stuff stays put - all day, through lunch & coffee, etc. I am going to get another color pretty soon and will probably end up with most of them by the time that I am done.

Anybody get the red one - Prolong? Thinking about it

I picked up Prolong with last year's release. I love it! I don't like layering lipliner/lipstick/gloss, but reds would always smoosh around and bleed on me. Not this one. It stays in place for hours. It's a great blue based red, but not quite as "in your face" as MAC Red. It also has a very nice sheen.

It's a go-to red for me! (NW15)
