Exactly the number in the jar means how months is good to used after it's opened.

If it has an expiration date I bet it's only for the SPF

Re: MAC Tendertones 2008

mine didn't have that symbol.

it was printed in numbers, like "exp. date Oct 2010" or something like that. I'm sorry, I would take a pic if I still had it but its on its way to NJ to a fellow Specktra-ette, so maybe she could take a pic of it once she gets it?

I'm in Canada to answer the question of where I got it from. It was just printed in black ink on the bottom of the cream-coloured box.

Sweet Tooth is still my favorite color, it is very pretty on. I also bought Honey Bare which looks fabulous over the slimshine Missy that I B2M for today. Honey Bare is so so pretty because of the gold shimmer in it. Now I see why erine has so darn many of that color

I loved them soooo much that I bought back ups of Sweet Tooth, Honey Bare & EZ Baby....geesh, I can't believe that I bought more ugghh

Ooohh...I got to order the VAE with my backups when I got home YAY!!!

I've been planning on getting EZ Baby and Sweet Tooth so thanks for this!!! Now I'm excited!!!

From what I know all European countries have the small jar with the number in, I read somewhere that in the US they don't have it but again I'm not sure about the US

maybe it's a canadian thing. i have that on mine as well, and two different kinds of labels too

and they are labelled on the bottom of the jars as well (don't know if you can see, the expiry date and batch number are printed on sweet tooth, but stamped on pucker)

Yep, I think it is a Canadian thing. I'm in the US and ordered Take a Hint and mine doesn't have dates in either place, as others mentioned. Turns out I am not getting nauseous from these like I did last year. I don't understand it, but....yay!

I am contemplating about getting backups (and perhaps getting Take A Hint). How long on average do these last (product wise, not shelf life) if they are used everyday?

I'm glad you cleared that up for some people but you misunderstood what I was saying. I do not think that the symbol dictates the potency of the SPF. I was saying that I am sure they expire at some point. They can't last forever. I also know that products with SPF usually have some sort of expiration to them because the SPF does loose effectiveness over time even if the quality or condition of the product itself is not directly effected.

Is Take a hint similar to Petting pink Lip Conditioner. If it is, I would not buy it. I will take Pucker, Hot and Sausy and ofcourse EZ Baby

I got a sample of Take A Hint to compare to Petting Pink. Petting Pink is more opaque in color, while Take A Hint is a shimmery light pink. On my pigmented lips, they have similar color payoff (very light and sheer), but Take a Hint is definitely more shimmery.
