MAC - Tour de Fabulous Discussion

Did we ever find out why these were delayed so long? Also if they are just regular lipglasses, then why the "glamglass" distinction?

I may pick up a couple of these, but I need to swatch them in person.

They were supposed to be glamglasses which is a different formula, but that didn't happen, so now they're just lipglasses. And the collection is not called Glamglass anymore either. I don't know what happened though.

I'm pissed. UPS was just here... By the time I got to the door (a matter of seconds) he was walking away. Didn't leave the package and did not leave a slip. I checked online and they are going to try to deliver it TUESDAY!!!!

He did the one knock and ditch deal. I'd call them and complain, it probably won't change the delivery date but it would make me feel better.

Yeahh! My overnight package came from MAC! I was surprised since the site said my zipcode was ineligible for Saturday delivery!
I got Rich & Witty, Comfort & Joy and Real Posh l/g, as well as Hyperion nail polish!
They're all super gorgeous! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Ok, I called UPS CS and was on hold for over 20 minutes. They finally said we could pick the package up in an hour. My husband goes 90 mins later and they say they can't find it because it's a small package.... Wtf. Thanks UPS! I'm just cranky because they were supposed to deliver another one yesterday and they changed it to Tuesday. Oh, and we have perfect weather right now with no snow on the ground (very rare!)

Dang. So glad that everyone else is getting theirs though.

Well that sucks. I'm jealous you have snow though.

Has anyone been to a store yet, still pretty curious to see what Famously Fab! looks like.

I'll be checking these out on Monday when I go to pick up my blush ombre from the ProStore. As it stands Knockout and Real Posh are calling to me.

Edit: I neglected to add Style Packed and Tour de Fabulous

T said she had recieved an early version of Rich Bounty in the glamglass formula (might explain why it took so long for these to come out):

"I was really lucky, and several months ago (when Glamglass was closer to debuting), I received a single press sample of Glamglass, in the hue Rich Bounty, so I was able to test out the formula a bit. It’s a bummer that MAC wasn’t able to get these out in their anticipated form, just because the formula is very different from Lipglass. Per the original press release, Glamglass was supposed to have a brush applicator (it did), high shine (moderately true, not too much more than Lipglass), and non-sticky texture (very slick with no tackiness).
The downside to Glamglass was the slickness of the texture tended to mean the color would slip around a bit, and I found it getting on my teeth several times (which is not the norm for me). I did like the overall texture, though, which was lightweight, non-sticky, and fairly even. I like Lipglass, too–it’s a solid formula and wears longer than some other glosses–but I think fans of the Cremesheen Glass formula who desired more pigment might have found these to their liking. They actually reminded me more of the texture of 3D Glasses or Chromeglass."

HTH.

Thank you so,so much for the swatches 2browneyes!

Knockout looks more red than Caqui which seems to be more orange.

I only ended up with Real Posh. Famously Fab! was really light and didn't move me enough to buy it. I loved the swatches of Comfort & Joy and Style Packed just didn't feel the need for them.

As far as l/p I only tried Just Wonderful and Embrace Me. Both are gorgeous! Just Wonderful looks exactly like either Red Dwarf or Positively Dashing(they are within a shade of each other). Embrace me looks much more like Allura's swatch than T's. I'll go back for those two more than likely.

I was really impressed with several of these glosses in person. I got tour de fab, famously fab, joy & comfort and rich bounty. Knockout was too red for my taste and the other coral gloss was too pale. I can't wait to pair hear glosses with the pencils. I was going to buy have to have it pencil but I'm good with draw me close and boldly bare from past collections.
