MAC - Trip Palettes 2009 Discussion

Re: MAC - Trip 2009 Collection

lol... traveling + MAC = expensive

I went to the San Francisco International airport's duty free shop and it included the tax already ($4! tax free my butt) but it was an actual MAC counter like an actual mall counter but without a knowledgable MA at hand. It was great especially since I had 2.5 hours to roam freely around the terminal since you know the airport security blah blah people have to do...
when I come back I'll gladly stake out at the other airports for MAC.

I'll let you guys know if I can CP for you all, but as of now I tentatively don't think so since I'll be really broke and jet lagged lol.

Add Melbourne to the list
St. Thomas has a store (R.H Riise) that sells MAC, Origins, etc at "duty-free prices"

You from the northern part? Cuz the petrol costs to drive to Austria would kill me! No point in going there if all my money would be spend on the fuel. I could wave to MAC and drive back home

Well, I've only registered yesterday... so there wasn't really that much time for nudging

Unfortunately, I'm from Ljubljana, so it's a two-hour drive (provided that there isn't much traffic & you don't get lost in Graz - I've yet to see the day...

). However, I have a very nice driver aka my bf, who - unlike me - has a driving licence and a decent job & and is willing to feed my MAC addiction by taking me there occasionally when new collections come out. Yay for a nice bf, nay for my empty wallet.

I can't wait for his parents to go to NY tomorrow - maybe, just maybe they'll find the oh-so-lovely Cool and Warm eyes palettes

. Still, I'm clueless about Frankfurt and JFK & they, being 60+ & completely and utterly unaware of MAC's exsistence, are not really the ideal candidates for hunting down mu...

Wow, another Slovnian! The more the merrier

Thaks a lot for the info on CDG - I'll definitely be on the lookout for Aelia. IMO, due to the popular repromotes, the Trip palettes are quite amazing (I've been pining for Water Nymph & Cassette for ages).

I'm all for helping other Slovenian MAC addicts - I'm planning on doing some serious damage to MAC PRO in NY in July (I'm so happy to be there when Euristocrats, Graphic Gardens and COLOUR CRAFT are released - for once in my life I'll be able to get the goodies together with the US ladies

). So... you and Moxy can start working on your WL

I gave my parents a small list of palettes that I wanted so I hope that they can find them in the airport in Maui, HI. **fingers crossed**

i've been lemming springtime skipper and waternymph for so long, i'm happy they brought them back.
i'm not sure about the warm palette. i really like it, but purples i've tried so far don't work on me- i look bruised or sick wearing them. must be my undertone. but i'm still tempted.

Re: MAC - Trip 2009 Collection

I saw these babies last week at Terminal 3 in London Heathrow (after you go through security). They're absolutely stunning. The warm eyes palette is gorgeous, the colours work together so well. If I didn't have so many similar shades already I would have snapped it up right away. If you like Star Violet, Nocturnelle, Parfait Amour or last Xmas's Cool Eyes palette, then you will love this palette.

The classic eye & cheek palette was too cute, with some pink gloss, black eyeliner and mascara I think it would make quite a nice look on the go. The neutral palettes were all somewhat boring, but maybe that's just me.
