Hey Panther, not sure if you'll read this comment as it's a while after you wrote yours, but I have the clinique gel one you're talking about (Supermoisture), and I have the studio sculpt.

The studio sculpt is FAR superior, the clinique one ok, I really really liked it when I first bought it but then I learnt that you couldn't build that much coverage, and also it wore off after a while. The worst thing about it was that it had glitter in it, fairly large clumps, and sometimes you didn't notice it but often after a night out when my dry skin had sucked in all the foundation (it really doesn't last well) my skin felt a little irritated from the glitter and didn't look too great. Wasn't nice. studio sculpt is my HG foundation! You can build the coverage beautifully, it lasts so long on the skin, and my skin didn't dry out or get irritated. I'd definately get the studio sculpt if I was you..

Unfortunately, after less than a week of use, my skin looks really bad and splotchy which is very unusual for me. The only thing that is different this week is the Studio Sculpt, so I'm taking a break for a few to see if it clears up.

I really wanted this to be a HG.

Well i finally bought the foundation and i went to Sephora and got sample from the MUFE HD/wanted to try this for so long/.
So when i got home i put from the Studio Sclupt on half of my face and on the other MUFE.I have to say that i love the Studio Sclupt it looks very natural

just amazing
choochoo.gif
I just cant believe its MAC lol -i tried all the foundation from MAC and they just didnt work for me -turn orange,or cakey,or like my skin is pilling/this how the MUFE was for me too/.I used Smashbox primer before applaying with the 187.The color is parfect for me -NW15.When i was in the store the MA tried on me just to be sure also NW20,NC15 and NC20 but the winner was NW15..When i saw the tube at fiirst i thought to myself boy this thing will last me maybe a week lol.But now i see will be just fine, because you need just a small dot - pea size foundation.
Since they are very different reviews for this foundation i will just say try it before you buy it

.And one more thing i applayed Blond MSF i cant stop wearing this thing -amazing

Damn it..I really really wanted to love the foundation but my extremely oily skin is not loving it. I get all greasy and shiny after a few hours

As for the concealer..I'm still unsure about it. Gotta try that out again..
back to Revlon Colorstay for me..

I haven't tried the Studio Sculpt, but I love Revlon Colorstay. I'm a bit of a makeup snob, but the Revlon is great with my oily skin - and it has never made me break out.
As for the Stuido Scult concealer, it didn't wow me. I'll finish the pot, but I won't repurchase. I'll stick with MAC Select Cover Up.

I've been wearing my sample over a week now too and I'm never going to fall out of love with this foundation (or the concealer for that matter) I just have that feeling - it's my Valentine this year ha ha ha. Hasn't made me breakout or go oily and my skin is temperamental like I've always said.

I'll be in work tomorrow which means the MAC counter is only 2 floors down, so on my lunch break I'm going to go for it and get my full tube! Then hide it from my Mum - because she's like 'I must try it all', luckily she's not the same shade as me.

I've worn the Studio Sculpt for two days know. No new brake outs but I have to say that is still like SFF more. SS sinks in to the fine lines that I have under my eyes even more than SFF and SFF smels better and has a bit of a better coverage IMO. But with my cobination skin that has a very oily T-zone Studio Sculpt and Studio Fix Fluid and pretty equal, at leas to this point there isn't huge differencies.

I am amazed at this stuff. Especially the concealer. It gives a beautiful, fresh, dewy, diffused look to the skin. It doesn't really crease either. Maybe just the slightest, slightest by the end of the day.

The foundation. Love it. I have used it at full concentration and LOVE IT. I am going to start playing around with sheering it out now to see how that works.

Sometimes I use powder to set my SS foundation, sometimes I don't. It just depends on how my skin is behaving atm. When I do set it with powder, the MSF Natural is good, but my God, if you want breathtaking, try Smashbox's Halo Powder lightly buffed over your SS foundation with a fluffy brush.

Can you give me some tips for applying the foundation? I have it and seem to be the only one unimpressed by it. It didn't cover enough and I really don't have problem skin but I wasn't feeling it. The manager at my Macy's counter said that it is best applied with a synthetic brush and pressed into the skin as opposed to buffing with a 187.

^Not MAC_Whore, but I sympathize 'cause I had the hardest time with this foundation -- it's creamy, but very thick as well. Buffing with 187 didn't work well at all for me. It worked a bit better when I dampened the brush a bit and then buffed it on, but it still didn't look that great. I agree that pressing it into the skin would probably be the best method. I don't have a flat foundation brush so I use my fingers. The MA I got my sample from told me that I shouldn't dot it on my face and blend 'cause it dries fast, but I find if I dot and blend it section by section (i.e. dot and blend on forehead, then cheeks, etc) it works A LOT better. The finish looks smoother and covers a lot better and I find it actually looks better after you let it set.

I've recently bought a full size tubed and it's amazing how little you need! I only use a pea size and it covers my entire face (and I have problemed skin too).

Are any of you acne-prone ladies using a primer with this? I think I need one so any recommendations would be much appreciated! TIA.

Yes, I'm definitely using a primer with this foundation. I've been using MUFE HD Primer in Green just to take away most of the redness from my acne scars and active acne. Hope this helps!

I have to say that I'm leaning towards SS more than SFF, the only reason for it really is that NC15 is lighter is SS than in SFF IMO.

I just got myself the studio sculpt foundation and concealer yesterday. It looks great!! It didn't break my skin out yet perhaps I just use it yesterday. One thing for sure, it's best to use strobe cream/liquid underneath it thats what my MA did for me yesterday. My skin looks flawless.

I tried it at home without the strobe, it just looks okay without the dewy look though..

I like the formula of both of these, but the colors seem a little off on me. It is hard to tell from the photo. I am going back to MAC tomorrow to see if they can match me properly.
