You know, I never soley use the foundation brush. It is just too difficult to get a smooth finish, IMO. The brush which comes closest to accomplishing a perfect finish is the #109, though. I love the #109. That said, I apply foundation first with the foundation brush, then finish/blend in areas with a sponge. You can wash that sponge and reuse it, btw.

Even after all of that, I do have certain areas where I feel I need more coverage. I have a slight bit of hyperpigmentation and redness on my cheeks, so I apply a bit of the SS concealer over the SS foundation to address that.

As for "pressing it into the skin": If you are pressing foundation with a synthetic brush, it will leave streaks, so I can see why you weren't pleased with his/her application.

Ok, seems like I'll be giving this foundation a miss after all. I'm very oily and I'm lazy to touch up throughout the day, plus I live in the tropics so sweat is inevitable.

It's true that this doesn't keep your skin oil free as long as SFF, but for me it's only about an hour less or so and even SFF doesn't keep my T-zone oil free the whole day.

^If you sweat (alot) SFF will come right of from your face so I don't think that even that is designed to be sweat resistant. It may be so a bit more than SS though..

Audrey when i was in the store to get the foundation one of the MA was putting the foundation with a makeup sponge. So you can try -i didn't see the final result since i had to go.My MA apply it with the 188.But i think you can try it with whatever you have.I asked her what brush is better to use she said it depends on the coverage you want so -109,187,190 whatever you want even makeup sponge will do the work. Not everyone can afford brush after all in the economy.

I guess I'm sticking with my Lancome foundation then.

Maybe I'll give MUFE HD a shot since it seems to be quite popular here.

I can see why it is really popular and cant rave about it enough... and as tempting as it is to recommend this to every customer, you need to remember that it will NOT be favoured by those who want to look matte and are oily-skinned.

I personally am willing to apply more blot powder throughout the day just so I can wear this foundation and have it sculpt the hell out of me.

I will go on using my SFF

I got this foundation and concealer

Its tricky...I wore it for the first time yesterday...looked okay. Not as full coverage as I had hoped. I started off using my flat foundation brush, but it was hard to use that brush. It was hard to blend the foundation, it was dry and just...hard for me

I used the 187 because I didnt know what other brush to use. It looked okay. The concealer looked great when I first applied it to my spots. But then I tried to reapply later in the day and it started to look cakey and just...ugh on my spots.

Im gonna need to work with everything some more

I still haven't given up on this foundation yet. My skin wasn't quite as dry the last few days, so I applied the studio scuplt and sheered it out quite a bit. I like it better than my EL DW light in a way, because it doesn't look like I have foundation on, but it also looks a lot more dry on. So it's kind of a love/hate relationship. I love that it doesn't look like a mask, but I hate that it settles into the lines around my mouth. It also doesn't have enough coverage when applied the way I did today to cover blemishes. That's not a huge problem, because I usually use some concealer on those spots anyway.

What I can't quite understand is that this stuff is supposed to work well for dry skin, but I can actually see this working better for me when my skin is a touch oilier? I also tried to mix it with some moisturizer the other day, and it actually curdled. It was so nasty looking on the back of my hand, that I couldn't apply it to my face!

So I'm gonna try it out a few more times. I want it to work, because I am finding that this doesn't aggravate my acne as much as my EL fndt.

I use the 190 with this foundation wiht out any trouble, allthough I always blend it more with a sponge to really get a non streaky finish. That's what I do with SFF and Diorskin Forever too. Havent tried to use 187 yet.

I have dry skin and at the moment am quite disappointed. My pores looked so visible and the staying power wasn't all that on me, way to many touch up needed for my liking.

I'm going to give it a couple more tries though with different application methods etc so fingers crossed!

I've got to say this really is water resistant, I can see how it's not sweat resistant, but my face survived my dentist appointment this morning and there was quite a lot of water sprayed in my mouth that generally then also sprayed everywhere else! It was like a mini sprinkler system! And I was expecting to look a total mess afterwards but nope everything was still there and still in place, I was really amazed because it looked identical as to when I left the house. It was just a nice confidence boost knowing I didn't have to worry about like blemishes showing etc. Usually foundation runs on me or goes blotchy when it comes into contact with water but not this one. Another plus point to add to my list!

The MUA who tried this on me used a 192 cheek and face brush, and she beat the hell outta my face with it! it looked amazing. I am so adding these to my kit!

So I finally made it to the counter but they didnt have nc20 shade any more. Heehee how lucky am i
lol.gif
I got a sample from the tester tube though.

I bought 109 brush and will try it today (it's 8.15 am, I'm still in bed). The nc20 in my sample pot looks a bit dark though, so I really need to test this out, otherwise I'll have to get nc15 shade.

Seriously, everybody should try to apply the foundation with the 180 brush, it will be absofuckinlutely flawless with a full coverage... even my MA was amazed when i went to my counter!

My excitement for the foundation is almost gone.

Today is my final try and I hope I don't get new breakouts. If I get them I have to return my first MAC product tomorrow.

I maybe have to use a smaller brush for setting the concealer with powder.

The concealer creased after only an hour today.

Has anyone else this tends to not spread.

at all.

It basically will apply right where I dab it on my face and blends out like an inch.

e_e maybe I just need less dry skin.

^^ Actually I found the consistency to be "thick" and unspreadable as well compared to my usual foundation, but I have really sensitive skin that hates tugging.
