This is why I DO NOT LIKE MY COUNTER. I called another store in her face and she said it DOES. So I told the lady if she could go to the back and get it and she lied and said they don't have it at all. I TALKED TO A GIRL WHO CONFIRMED LAST NIGHT THEY HAD THE BLUSHES AND SHE PHYSICALLY CHECKED. I really try to be nice and not got off because I work retail but I always make sure to so my JOB. The counter I called will hold the bluh for me but now I have to go out of my way. Hmmm.

Such an inconvenience.....smh!

I just called my counter too and they said they are on backorder. This counter always gets tonsss of stock for every collection. Hmmm I wonder if Mac is having them send back all the blushes?

Such craziness! I, along with everyone else, received Sunset Beach instead of Ocean City last Tuesday. I called and complained and was told to call back in 72 hours! Not wanting to deal with MAC, I called my favorite MAC counter at Nordstrom North Shore mall (I'm in MA) and was told that they aren't pre selling anything from this collection. She also mentioned receiving only 3 ocean city blushes! I called another counter and was told they only received 2! How ridiculous! I just got off the phone with Nordstrom and purchased OC from them. I am quite pissed to be out of another 30 bucks but oh well it beats having to stress about MAC and how they're going resolve this massive f#ck up til next week. *headdesk*

Ug. Just called my counter and asked if they could set aside both blushes for me until this evening when I can make it in from work. She didn't tell me exactly how much stock they got, only that it was "limited", and wouldn't hold them for me. I know they don't have to, but I would have appreciated it. Oh well!

I can totally relate to the comments about big boobs. I started puberty when I was 10 and with that came the growth spurt on my chest. I was wearing a D cup by the time I was 11 and I was only 5 foot at 100 pounds, so they were very noticeable. Pretty much everyone accused me of stuffing my bras and I got a lot of unwanted attention from the boys.

I went through that too

I actually had a cheerleader captain *snicker* bring a box of kleenex/tissues to my house

It was devastating at the time - I think I was 14 - because it was a lie. But, it didn't kill me...& turned me into one tough cookie

Her life didn't turn out so well & I live a blessed life, so....

I didn't check to see if anyone else posted this, but I emailed when I got sent the wrong blush. Here's what they wrote back:

I think when I get my little black box this evening (ordered OC, so I'm sure I'll get SB), I'll send an email instead of calling. The response you got seems more appropriate than some of the horror stories we've been hearing from people who have called. Plus, since people are getting so many different answers as to how the situation is being handled, I would prefer to get my response via email so I have it in writing. I'm a big fan of getting things in writing so if I need to, I can prove to someone exactly what I was told.

Now, I am SO happy that I was able to order launch day because I was going to get mine from a MAC store that usually gets tons of stock

I mainly use acrylics, but the black and white is charcoal. And thank you, I blushing you guys!

Why aren't those in a children's book!

You may want to pursue that avenue with your art as well

Re: Proenzagate ( as someone so eloquently named it) I just went and ordered OC (along with Mangrove now also, damn it Specktra beauties!) from Macys since I had a gift card and its 6% Ebates as well. Still holding on to the incorrectly sent SB blush that I got and I will wait and see what Mac proposes to do. Either way I'll be asking for my refund and they can have the blush back if they'd like as long as they send me a free return shipping label. Smh I can't believe this release got so messed up

I'm not gonna lie, still gonna check out that AA collection too

SMH! I don't know what they lie so. The last time I encountered something like that I called the customer service center for stores and rant on the phone. Not only did they send me the item I originally wanted they also threw in a extra gloss for me in the package.

Does anyone else feel like MAC came up with the color story and packaging, had it produced and then said hmmmmm, who can we get to throw their name on it last minute? I love the Proenza line of handbags and clothes and this branding just seems so off to me. Right down to the actual name- its literally like they just typed it up on a computer in basic fontand threw it on the packaging. It's such an odd collaboration.

This shit with Mac is ridiculous. Wrong orders dead bugs its just outta hand smh. I was fortunate enough that my order came correctly with over night shipping but this doesnt make me want to deal with Mac like for a long while

It's nice to see that they are trying to take care of their customers and get them the right blushes. It was a horrible mistake, of course. Still, I hope they pull this off for everyone!!

I was happy with the response and felt that it was very fair. Yes, a bad mistake, but they are at least trying to make it right.

I'm so pissed that I had to wake up just now to go in store to purchase the correct blush. When I called this morning, CS told me that I would most likely end up being refunded because they can't guarantee stock for all of the orders that were messed up. And I again got the kind " once we hear from management we will be sure to contact you" after leaving the house in a frazzle no one, not a single customer, was even in store! Ughh!

You have found your people!!  I'm in the same boat.  Most of my friends aren't that into makeup.  I thrive on it when one of them will actually ask me for help creating a look or something, like "Finally...Playtime!!!!" lol.  And if anyone ever gives you shit for having 19 lipsticks in your bag, just remind yourself that I have over 100 lipsticks in my stash.  I stopped counting after 100... it was getting disturbing.

Yes, I've definitely found a home here on Specktra. I daren't count how many lippies I have.
