MAC x The Simpsons Collection (Sept 4, 2014)

So this is releasing in scandinavia today (online + our only MSO) but it's already 15.30 in the afternoon and nothing is up yet, I find it odd....

I feel like pinks, purples, and some greens are work appropriate. Really any color. It just depends on how you apply it. If you do a basic brown or transition color in the crease you can use almost any color for the lid. I prefer to keep my brow bone highlight matte, so I don't go overboard with shimmer. Usually I use my Mineralize Skinfinish Natural on the brow bone. For work, I'd keep everything blended but not smokey. Also I wouldn't make my eye shadow so opaque. So maybe a light dusting of the color I want to use on my lid. So to be succinct, on your brow bone, inner corner highlight, crease, and undereye use natural blending colors like light browns and on your lid use a light wash of the bright color you'd want to wear. 

Great tips! I will give these a try. I have very fair skin, so unless I'm going for more of a punk look I usually stay away from bright or bold colors. I think I can pull it off with a neutral lip. Thank you!

I want both eyeshadow quads, but I don't own any MAC shadows and I've read somewhere the shadows in these limited edition quads tends to be lacking in quality.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I love MAC and I am very excited about the Simpsons collection. I have never been very confident with eye makeup, but both shadow quads in this collections look beautiful and unique. I don't like to do makeup that is too bold, but I was wondering what your thoughts are on using either of these shadow quads with an everyday kinda look that you wouldn't feel weird wearing to the office.

i have the TTDL quad from this collection and have worn it to work and play, for daytime and nighttime. if you don't feel comfortable using the brighter shades for the office, you can always use the gold/green and the teal/black...might also depend on your office environment though!

I kinda don't mind that there's no lipstick in this collection.
I actually like when a new collection doesn't have "everything" because then it gives me more time to appreciate stuff from previous collections. Instead of just moving from one thing to the next. Ya know?
I'm still enjoying my Osbournes and Lingering Kiss lippies…... until the Matte Lip collection comes out. Haha
