I got my Plumful! Its soooo pretty. OMG. I hadn't seen any swatches so I'm glad I love it! :)

Here's a pic of it... even though you guys already know all about it. :)

Oh man girl... don't make me want this lippie!! AHHHHHH!
BTW your new avitar is sooooooo adorable! You are a beauty! My little sisters name is Stephanie and we call her Stephy so it always makes me smile when I see your name!

Today I had to try out my new goodies. :)

I'm wearing Shell Pearl (applied with 187 because I don't like strong sheen on me) with Launch Away blush - it's a really pretty combination. As for my eyes, I'm wearing A Natural Flirt on the inner 1/3 of my lid, Aztec Brick on the outer 2/3, slightly into the crease and lower lashline, Swiss Chocolate in the crease and Dipdown f/l on the upper lash line. I really like both the colour and finish of AB and I had nothing else similar in my collection. I lightly lined my lips with Chicory liner and pulled out Tour de Fabulous' Rich Bounty l/g (that I don't think I've worn in nearly a year).
Oh I'm going to copy this look... sounds super pretty! Thanks for the description!
Except I'll have to sub in another blush for LA since I didn't get that one...

The packaging and debossing on these looks really exquisite! I still have plenty left in the items I'd lean towards buying, but it's tempting to order these just to have them to look at.

They're almost too beautiful to use. It pains me to swirl the brush into Shell Pearl and I carefully place the 239 into a plain section of the e/s so as not to disturb the embossing. This e/s is going to have a bizarre wear pattern after I've had it awhile.

For some reason, it doesn't bother me to flatten the waves on the EDES, but these are different. I think this collection is a great way to repromote shades we've seen before. I hope they do this kind of embossing again. :)

Taken outside in the dead of Canadian winter (-10 c):

Heavy swatches taken in natural light on arm (NC15-20, maybe?) over UDPP:

Chessa (Marché aux Puces duo)
Mythology
Expensive Pink
Aztec Brick

I should have included Star Myth (On the Hunt duo) in the pic as well but I lack the motivation to go out in the freezing cold again; SM is closest to
Mythology (but is slightly less/orange pink) and is less bronze than Aztec Brick. I really need to start wearing that shade as well.

Remember how I said I had nothing like this shade. Well...er....

I posted this over in the Archie's thread, but thought it would be helpful here as well. I stumbled upon a useful video while searching for swatches of Shell Pearl on deeper skin. It's a video of Karen from Makeup and Beauty Blog with tips on how to use Shell Pearl.

Well I ordered
Hi everyone, I'm new to the formum and I do have a question. I'm from The Netherlands and i've been stalking the Dutch mac site like crazy but unfortunately I was to late to order shell pearl. I do not have family living in America. And I don't like to order from Ebay. Just called Selfridges and they told me I have to pay 60 pounds extra If I would order by phone. I find that a bit much. Do maybe one of you know another possibility? Please Help ....
Well I ordered shell pearl for myself, but I'm now realizing it maybe ashy for my skin! If so, I was planning on returning it. But if you like...maybe we can work something out and I can mail to you! Let me know:) Cindy

Christine's swatch of Altered State is so beautiful. I have to resist getting it by telling myself that the gorgeous sparkles don't show up so well on the lid.

Does anyone think Aztec is similar to Amber lights? I think I might want Aztec now...lol
Wondering the same thing or if it is anything like Spectacle of Yourself or Saffron? If it is like Saffron in VP form, I want. I didn't get it b/c I felt I have something like it already. I did however, have to snap up Altered State and the Once Upon a Time or whatever its called metal vanilla one. I skipped Carbon, I already have 3 of those in palettes, minus the print...

Christine's given all the eyeshadows positive reviews, even Carbon. It seems to be one of those shades that are rather horrible in palettes and quads, but is pretty decent by itself. Looking forward to her lipstick swatches.

I only ordered shell pearl from this collection because I figured I could B2M for the lipsticks eventually... BUT the packaging makes them so "exquisite"... I'm practically drooling over them lol I may have to break my no buy til April rule for them, does that make me weak? :/

Thanks for that info, CC. I picked it up because it seemed a bit foolproof, the design is cool, and the box is pretty. LOL. I wish the box coloring was on the lipstick plastic, but then it would have cost more. Imprinting on the products is a fun way to jazz things up though. It's especially cool if they're not going to charge any more for it. I thought this was a nice way to do repromotes/amp up perm products.

Checked my Plumful yesterday and it has the "white dust" on it. I haven't had it very long. Maybe since early last year. Wonder what these lustres will looks like with white dust and a snake print
