I am sorry to hear that however it sounds like your kitty lived a long loving life. My thoughts are with you.

Cats are very sacred in the way that they sense love and they will give unconditional love. Actually ALL animals will.

It is my belief that you will see her again. I know this is going to sound weird but its ment to comfort you. When one dies, they remove their robe and leave it (their robe being their flesh) then they walk the spirit walk to the west where they meet their loved ones that had walked that path before them and then they wait to greet you when you begin your journey.

Sometimes I believe they do come back to let you know they are OK. And to comfort you.

*HUGS*

She's still with you. Never forget that.

This is so true, that's what makes them so darn special, and probably helps a good deal when it comes to living a nice long life.

I hope you're ok Lily, our thoughts are with you. The two of you were lucky to have one another, I hope youbeabitch is right and that meeting again somewhere else is possible. But she'll always be around. Take care.

I'm so sorry Lily. Your cat was a beautiful animal. It is devastating to lose a friend. My first and oldest cat passed away last year and it was very hard for our family. He had seen us through some very tough times...when my parents got divorced and my Mom was hurting the worst, Emerson would drag his blanket up onto the bed with her and curl up next to her while she cried. Damn, I'm tearing up telling this. And he was with us when we lost everything and moved to Nashville. That crazy cat was hanging his head out the window of the U-haul like a dog! Anyway, I wasn't intending to take away from what you're feeling right now by telling those stories, I just wanted to let you know that I understand how important a cat can be as a companion, and I commiserate with you. I am truly sorry for your loss, and I will pray for you.

she had 23 great years with you. How lucky was she to have such a loving home!
I have 4 cats myself. One of the hardest and most devastating things i've ever had to do was to hold my cat Vinny when he was dying from lymphoma and had to be put to sleep 4 years ago. I still cry every time i think of him.
My prayers are with you and yours.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Our animals are family members. Kitty was obviously very loved and felt great love for you. You are very lucky to have spent 23 wonderful years with her. I know that your pain is great right now, but your memories will guide you through it. You will be very happy that you chose to have Kitty cremated. I had a lifelong buddy as well. His name was Pierre and he lived to be 17. When his time came, I couldn't see putting him in the ground either. His ashes are now at my mom's house. Whenever I visit her, after I greet my family at the door, I go say "hi" to Pierre. My husband and I have a crew of 3 rescue cats now and I hope they are around for a long time. They are our "kids".

Your memorial to your dear Kitty, was very touching. I am so sorry for your loss.

Rest in peace, Kitty.
