I saw some of the Novel Twist items on Friday, and the bags/packaging looks much better in person than on paper. It's almost like a nubby wool with yarn, like ReXaY said, and very cute in person.
I took a few pictures of my swatches and will try to post them in the Swatch section for this color story. Don't know how helpful they'll be, but...
Here are my thoughts on some of the items I swatched or looked at:
Pearlizers:
-Warm Pearlizer - Quiver: light pink-orange bronze w/sparkle (This one could go slightly muddy or orange on cool-toned folks, but it's very pretty!)
-Cool Pearlizer - Hundred Degrees: light pink w/ sparkle (It's nice, but it's not grabbing me 100% just yet.)
-The included kabuki/buffer brush is about two inches big, and just a little over an inch wide in brush "hair" width at the very top if I recall correctly. The square bag that these pearlizers come in is adorable!
Eyeshadow:
Gold e/s from Warm Eyes [Unwind?]: gold w/tan and a very tiny bit of olive... it's really pretty, though naturally a great color for warm-toned folks and those who have warm-toned eyes.
I'm thoroughly unimpressed with the Cool Eyes palette... the Warm Eyes palette clearly has some great looks that can be made with it, but the Cool palette doesn't have a lot of striking colors or looks in my opinion. Not as well-put-together as the Warm palette, sadly. Hopefully people will prove me wrong though!
Lip palettes:
Red, er, Plum Lips palette
: darkest color [Darkside?] is a blue red, looks almost berry after a few hours; lighter l/s [New York Apple?] looks like it has a tiny bit of coral in it (on my skin) after it fades for a few hours; lightest color is the l/g [Scribbles], which is a light pink, but the pink isn't very pigmented... the sparkles are more visible.
Tan Lips: Gorgeous! I didn't try it on (I'm cool-toned), but the palette looks fantastic! If it's half as beautiful on as it looks in the palette, it'll still be a winner.
