it sure does. I'm into it though. I can never get enough of retroThey somehow remind me of Shop/Cook. LOL
funny, the amazonian blushes are touted for being longwearing so i bought 'tipsy'. Ironically, it is one of the few powder blushes i have that disappear/fade on me over the course of the day! i'm not usually big on re-application of makeup throughout the day....especially since at my office it is open plan, and in the washroom the lighting sucks, and the pea green walls also throw the lighting off even further. i try to keep reapplication minimal....maybe a swipe of lipstick, and a bit of powder if i'm super shiny or something.Bingo. Exactly what happened to me. I just assumed that blushes on lasted a few hours. I keep meaning to try the Tarte Amazonian Clay ones to see how well they stand up. Today, I wore Salsarose, which is one of Mac's brighter blushes. I didn't load it on or anything, but I definitely used it for a pop of colour on my cheeks. Four hours later I had just the faintest flush of colour. BRING ON THE PROLONGWEAR BLUSHES. I HAVE WORK FOR THEM.
My NARS and Tarte AC blushes are the only blushes I've hit pan on in the last year. I love MAC b/c of all the different shades they release but like people stated upthread, my face loves to eat them. So, I tend to reach for NARS or Tarte. The AC blushes don't last 10 hours on me like they claim to, but they far outlast their MAC counterparts. I can at least get through a work day, whereas with MAC, i'm reapplying before lunch.Bingo. Exactly what happened to me. I just assumed that blushes on lasted a few hours. that's your amazing skin! mine sucks it all inI usually have pretty good luck with MAC blushes, I've never had to reapply. Sometimes I put Lustre Drops or CCBs or something underneath them, but even when I don't, they still last.

yes it really does sound the same. i suspect one of the other women in the office *might* wear mascara, and another eyeliner, but that's about it. the mere fact that i have hand cream and lip balm at my desk (which i don't feel weird about reapplying) makes me enough of an anomaly...if i cracked out blush or lipstick, i would probably never hear the end of it....I didn't try them, mostly because I've almost never met a bronzer that didn't look like dirt on my skin. I'm certainly itching to try the PLW blushes...
Lol! Your office sounds like mine. I'm lucky in that I sit right beside big windows, but it's kind of open concept and I don't want everyone to see me reapplying, since most of the women in my office hardly touch makeup, let alone retouch it. Interesting that the Tarte blushes faded on you. Makes me a little bit skeptical of what they'd be like on me, especially in the summer, when things fade so quickly.
Nice! I love that deep raspberry shade!
oh also i was going to ask if you've tried the balm's bahama mama? i was swatching some balm stuff today in jean coutu and i thought it *might* be light enough to work for lighter skintones...?I didn't try them, mostly because I've almost never met a bronzer that didn't look like dirt on my skin. I don't use primer regularly, although it can help a little. I still don't find I get very long wear from most of my Mac blushes. 12+ hours would be a pipe dream. I'd be thrilled with half that!A question for those with "disappearing" blushes: Do you use primers or a base? Or does it disappear despite a primer?
I find layering blushes essential if you want to make them last 12+ hours, i.e. either a CCB or a CBB followed by a powder blush.
I always use primer. Sometimes I'll layer it over a CCB but honestly it would be nice if MAC blushes would hold up longer without them. Obviously it's possible, since other brands work better for me. That's why I've got a lot of hope for the PLW blushes! I don't even need them to last 12 hours or even 8. Longer than 4-5 hours for a MAC blush would be great!A question for those with "disappearing" blushes: Do you use primers or a base? Or does it disappear despite a primer?

Geez - that's sad. I work in an office full of women and none of them wear make up on a regular basis. One may wear lipstick when sales reps visit but they are just too scared of it.yes it really does sound the same. i suspect one of the other women in the office *might* wear mascara, and another eyeliner, but that's about it. the mere fact that i have hand cream and lip balm at my desk (which i don't feel weird about reapplying) makes me enough of an anomaly...if i cracked out blush or lipstick, i would probably never hear the end of it....
