And I'm surprised no one has said this, but quickfrost sounds an awful lot like white gold.

I agree. I've got White Gold and it does have green in it... Hopefully Quick Frost is somehow different....

Interesting, I also have white gold which I bought from the Pro store in Paddington and I get NO green whatsoever...

In any case I doubt it will be the same, I somehow imagine this to be a bit like helium, pink opal or frozen white even in terms of having a duochrome as Quick Frost is white in the jar, but I guess none of us will know until it arrives!!

Try it wet, you get a very subtle greenish sheen. Its not obvious on a lot of skin tones though...

i definitely get the slightest hint of green with White Gold - it's like a soft lime green iridescence

I really hope these look different than some of the descriptions sound. I think I'm with the majority here, seems like more of the same, but you never know with MAC & their interpretations lol. Guess I'll just wait for the swatches....and save some $$ for it just in case!

I'm actually excited for this. Maybe cause I'm a newbie to MAC.
Is the Release date for Canada either July 19th or August 6th?
The first post in this thread said August 6th... but the post at the top of this season said Canada/US July 19th.

I'm gonna have to figure out my budget for this... July 20 I go on a trip to the states.. and the first week of Aug I'm also out of town, but actually near a MAC store so...

Nope, the colours and descriptions of everything being released is listed in the sticky thread here and if you look in the swatches forum you will already see 4 of the 8 pigments being released there in pics - these were offered pre release on ebay

Agreed! Or sometimes checking them out in person can make all the difference. I wasn't too hyped about C-shock until I saw it in person and now I want EVERYTHING!!!

OK - the Quick Frost has arrived!!! On first inspection this is quite white in the jar. Its a creamy based pigment that is smooth to apply, not chalky. On swatch its incredibly sheer - in fact its sheerness is similar to fairylite, its very sheer, and just like fairylite it also has a nice shimmer. The colour is a very sheer white with a super pale green shimmer - almost a sheer iridesence with green shimmer.
I am about to get some swatches, will take me a bit and I will post them in the swatch thread

ETA - I have compared this to the White Gold side by side and they are not terribly similar, different texture, different colour (unless you apply this Quck Frost heavily, then it is a closer match, but still way less shimmer than White Gold), and this is way less shimmery than White Gold. Overall this ISNT a wow pigment, just a nice pigment that most people would probably use as a highlighter because the colour payoff isnt fabulous.

Though the colour is completely different to fairylite, its just the "sheer" factor that is comparible.
