I'd kill for your brows and I think your makeup is always done very nice. You're an artist and I wouldn't let that go just because some people seem to have a problem with it. People, even family, will always have negative opinions about something - if it wasn't your makeup it'd be something else.

Oh honey, you shouldn't let your looks go and stop caring about how you look and feel just because someone said so, or because you don't have "active" social life. You can do whatever you want and feel good about it and about yourself. You really look good, I like your makeup and brows!

I think your makeup application and choice of colors are superb and look beautiful on you

I don't post on here much, but I do understand loving make up
I just wanted to tell you I so admire the fact that you take the time with your appearance while keeping a house and taking care of a child (children?!) ... Too many people let themselves go and "run around in sweats" once they have kids, and I love love love seeing people who still take time for themselves too!
And the make up is gorgeous! (I wish I would become obsessed with my brows, cause mine are awful!)

you look beautiful. i think those who don't wear much make up just don't understand us that love make up. My friends were laughing at me and how long i was taking to get ready when we met up for the weekend but i don't think they understand that we actually enjoy putting on our make up and looking good and that its fun and not a chore!

This was actually the first time I've ever really heard anything negative about my makeup even though I've been really into it for a couple years-ish now. I swear to God, before I joined Myspace (and then Specktra a bit later), it took me MAYBE 5 minutes to do my whole face. As far as my prior makeup collection goes, I had my foundation, mascara, two eyeliners, a few very old cheap eyeshadows (gross, I know lol), maybe 2 lipsticks, and one blush.. that's it lol no makeup brushes or anything. I really didn't take much time to *prettify* myself back then.
I'm thinking that maybe my family members are really noticing the change because I'd done everything the same for so long. And also the fact that we only get to spend time together maybe once a year. So, a big change in how I take care of myself is probably pretty obvious. I mean, I didn't start really getting into makeup until I hit my 30s! Same thing with my eyebrows.. and my fingernails (I've always been a nailbiter but now they're all long). So, I'm a little late in the beauty game lol
I think I know in my heart that no one was truly meaning to be an asshole to me.. I think they were just trying to tease me and play around. It still hurt, though. Oh well, right?!?!
For the person who asked about my kids.. well, my little girl is 10 yrs old and my son is 14 yrs. So, while I am a stay at home mom type of person, I'm not home with kiddos all day or anything. I do take care all of the household stuff though
And for the person who said I look 23 instead of 33, I think I just fell in love with you haha

I think your makeup is gorgeous! Don't let people discourage you. I wouldn't change a thing and your brows look awesome. As a matter of fact, my husband walked over to ask me a question while I was viewing your FOTD and he pointed to your avatar and said, "Oh, she's pretty!" I have a tremendous amount of makeup and people do the same crap to me when they see it and I always say, "I have all this because it makes me happy and I like it." And usually, that's the end of that.

I think the whole "don't worry about what they say - you're fabulous - we love you" bit has been covered, so I won't repeat it!! I definitely agree with it, though.
Also, I'm late in the game, as well. I'm 35, and I just got into MU for real in the past 3 or 4 months! Before that, everything I wore on my face every day could fit into the small inside zipper pocket of my purse. LOL. I've gotten the same kind of comments from family and co-workers, and I just tell them to piss off basically.

They're just jealous and they ain't got it like that... Girl I consider makeup and art and artist need paints in all colors, brushes etc... our faces are the canvas and we must make them beautiful. F*ck what anybody says
