I think the MAC counters (Macy's and Nordies) the Originals collection release dates must vary from location to location.
I called my local MAC counter at Macy's (Silverdale Kitsap Mall) and spoke to 3 different MA's. Both stated that they will be getting the collection/releasing on Dec 26th. They told me even though I heard that its supposed to release this week, Dec 19th, this particular counter is still releasing it at the original date Dec 26th. So who knows. I'll still stop by on the 20th to see if maybe they were wrong. We'll see.

You're probably right. I'm going over tomorrow to see if I can get the Originals.

it is not a permanent collection. "originals are now and forever" means that original names and products will forever be remembered and never forgotten. and that they are back now (MAC just put a new twist on them). does that make sense? it is a LE collection, with the exception of the pigments, glitters, eye pencils, and mascara.

my MA is holding 2 parrots, a charred, and a golden olive pigment for me until tomorrow.
I was afraid I wouldn't make it down there in time to get what I wanted. I don't know why I'm worried, I think I'm one of like ten people in my area who wear bright colors anyway, but the hype on here had me a little panicked that I wouldn't get parrot! lol

I saw the e/s for this collection & the Authentics palette yesterday and I am not crazy about the majority of the colors. Parrot is not as amazing as I thought it would be (but I'm getting it anyway), I think BigT is much prettier. I wanted Daisychain but its too yellow. The grays were nice, maybe I'll get those.

Went to my freestanding store today. All I got was Parrot - everything else was blah. The MA said I was the first one to get it too - he had to unwrap the plastic wrap.

Just went to my local MAC counter and they did not have the collection yet. I hate my MAC counter. They seem to always be late in getting every single collection. And it seems they release at a different date than everyone else. They said Dec 26th. I asked them how come it isn't being released now since the release date got pushed up early one week and the manager couldn't really give me an answer. So I left disappointed.
Either way, Originals is now available to order online. I didn't want to wait till Dec 26th, So I just went ahead and placed my online order using the free 2-day shipping. I should get my order by the end of this week; and when I go to my local MAC counter, they still won't have the collection! Boohoo!

I called Macy's again this morning and now they say the release is tomorrow, so I placed my order online. I then called Mac customer service and was told that they are upgrading the orders to overnight shipping instead of 2nd day, so we'll definitely have our orders soon.

Sorry for the bad picture, but I already washed my hand haha. I bought parrot today - yay! The reason why people have been hearing so many different things about the release date - is because some people didn't check their mac email so some counters just didn't know about it until late! But they were definitely supposed to release today. Unfortunately my counter only had one pigment, no glitters and didn't even have a display - so I had to ask about it!
I might be going back to get twig twig l/s - what do ya'll think? YAY!
