yeah, lol...you can have mine, too. but seriously...i do agree to an extent, at least as far as it goes for selling for profit like aziajs said. but the best thing you can probably do is call your counter and request that they hold one for you (or order online, like it's already been pointed out).

I'm surprised at how much I want from this collection. Of course I have to see it in person, but so far I want:

Lipstick: Twig Twig - Neutral brown plum (lustre)
Lipglass: Nico Now - Mid-tone grey purple with multi-coloured pearlized pigments (frost)
Eyeshadows:
Alum - Mid-tone blue grey with soft blue pearlized pigments (satin)
Parrot - Deep aqua blue with bright green and blue pearlized pigments (frost)
maybe:
Frisco - Soft pastel pink (matte)
Memorabilia - Mid-tone purple (matte)
Pigments:
Kitschmas - Light airy shimmering pink mauve with pearlized pigments (frost)
maybe:
Violet - Vivid bright purple (frost)
Reflects Transparent Teal - Sparkling white with turquoise
Reflects Antique Gold - Sparkling taupe

That might not seem like a lot to some people, but to me, that's a ton ^_^.

I know it might sound disappointing with the repromotes, but I think I'll give the collection a chance. New twists on old versions? I'm game.

And I think the reason why they're not putting MSFs in or repromoting any of them because early 2008 new MSFs are coming out or the new LE Mineral Powder foundation is going to be released as well. I can wait until then to try an MSF.

Just a bit of a grounding note on the possible feeding frenzy for Parrot when it comes out. I remember back when we found out that Mothbrown was coming back with the Barbie collection. There was concern that it would sellout really quick.

I picked up three Mothbrowns for Christmas presents at my CCO last weekend. They had tons of them available.

My point - now that MAC knows that they have a product with pent up demand, unlike the last time it was released, I'm sure that Parrot won't be sold out as quickly as some fear. MAC wants to make money on this and isn't going to lose a ton of sales on something that is clearly greatly anticipated by their customer base. I'm sure that they'll restock, just like they did with some of the popular items from the Barbie collection, if they run out.

I am sure Parrot won't let out the first day it comes out. I bet mac has made extra parrot to meet demands. On the same note, I wouldn't wait around for it to be at a CCO. It might end up at some, but not all. The thing with Parrot is that it truly is a pretty color. I have it in the Liza quad, and another one from Salsabelle( i think i mis spelled that, oh well). Im getting one more and thats it. But im sure there are people that will run to their counters and buy 3 or 4 and another 3 or 4 online. it's their money, they can do what they want with it. My piece of advise is if you want one, get one ASAP, just in case. Look at real doll, i played with it the day it came out, didnt like it, and all this hype makes me want it. To this day i wish i still had one, that of course i would never use lol. oh well, i am sure that will come out again someday, and i will buy two, even though i dont like the color. im such a mac addict. lol I cant wait for swatches of these e/s. I wonder if this parrot, will be the true parrot?

I heard and its been posted somewhere on here that there will be an MSF collection out in Febuary!!!! I think its called 'N'Collection or something!!! Not sure if its all new stuff or any repromotes but i'd love to get some of the older, LE HTF ones!!! Pretty please MAC???

Is it safe to assume that the mattes in this collection are of the "regular", i.e. not Matte2, formula? If so, with the popularity of the Matte2 shadows, I wonder why MAC doesn't make all of its subsequent matte shadows in the new formulation?

I wonder the same thing.. I hate, HATE the original matte formula. Love the matte2, however. I won't buy a regular matte formula anything

Not a good comparison (Real Doll vs. Parrot). Real Doll was a new release and Parrot is a repromote, like Mothbrown. I'm sure MAC has taken that into account when deciding how much product to manufacture. In short, I doubt it's going to sellout and not be restocked. I'm even going to go out on a limb and say that it will probably be available for a good while. MAC isn't stupid after all.

Hey guys -- got an e-mail from my Trainer today and the launch date has changed for this collection. It will now be launched on the 19th of December instead of the 26th so put it on your Christmas wishlists

The e-mail doesn't say anything about the launch date being different for counters or freestanding locations, but if I hear any other news I will let everyone know :-D

I'm pretty happy about this collection coming out. I'm relatively new to MAC and flat out refuse to pay more than retail for most things on ebay. Parrot would have been missing from my collection without the re-release.
