Whilst sitting here browsing different forums I discovered something very abnormal... I was rubbing my knee for whatever reason and felt a small "ball". Puzzled, I took a closer look and ran my finger over the area and the "ball" moved! Normally something like that would completely freak me out but I found myself oddly disturbed AND intrigued all at the same time.
I ran over to my boyfriend and made him feel it, therein creeping him out. He refused to have anything to do with the matter shortly after, so I sat on the floor next to him and kept repeating how gross and cool it was. I was completely perplexed as to what was in my knee.
That's when my room mate informed me that it was more than likely a cartilage shard. Apparently cartilage can "tear" off and if it rubs against your muscle enough it can form a ball. I wasn't aware of this and felt fairly stupid. I'm still not entirely sure if it is cartilage, but it makes sense. I think.
Maybe this is a sign that I should take better care of my knees and stop running them into things 5000000 times a day?
If anyone actually read through that, I applaud you. I have a knack for making long stories short, and felt the need to share my "ball" moving experience!
